Seems fake to me. Cannot see any reason why they would want to take a leap now since they don't actually need to show Pillu to continue with their current track. They can just mention him and use camera angles to pretend he is there and show KalMa talking to him. Plus as Gayu said, Sonali Jaffar said that Arzaan will take a break and come back, so this leap seems random. By the logic of this leap, KalMa will be separated for 9 years and then reunite, but that seems dumb to me. And as we all know, it would be silly to show 17-year-old Reem playing someone in her early 30'ies with a 10-year-old child. The production house is very aware that Reem is very young and they don't want her to look extra mature in her role of Kalyani. If anything, I think leap might be later on if there is no other way to bring Arzaan back.
