hmm but niche films do well these days. I mean even take Raazi for example it was a niche film centred around a female protagonist but it did quite well. Son Chariya flopped. Why? Because people choose not to watch it. See my point is we the people have max and ultimate power in this system. We decide fate of the films. But in this current hate wave audience has escaped all the blame. It’s like hating the rich and powerful will redeem them. It’s the audience that choose not to watch outsider’s decent film but watched an average dharma film and made it a hit. So who can we really blame here? Like I said hate on KJO as much as one wants but will these people take real action when it comes to it. Hating on social media is very easy but will they sacrifice their entertainment for what they believe in ? Will they not watch a well packaged Dharma film that seems entertaining but instead watch an outsider’s film that may not seem that entertaining? Even in this very thread you can see no one is saying we will never watch Dharma movies. Most of them want to watch Dharma movies it’s just that it shouldn’t cast Alia but some one they deem talented. This seems quite hypocritical to me. That’s all.
I am sorry Raazi was anything but a niche film. It was a total commercial film. A niche film would be films like October , Sonchiriya , Trapped.
