I only watched Gully boy ... where she was irritating ... So yes is not good actress either ... Mediocre at best ...

As an actress she is one of the better ones Bollywood has today so yea .

Also I don't like how she is blamed for the shortcomings of others favorite actresses despite doing only what 12-13 movies in 8 years.

She has been heavily promoted and shoved down everyones throat that people honestly do not even know if there is anyone better than Alia Bhatt.

That is just how bad nepotism has gotten.

It is not who is the most talented. It is who has gotten the most promotion and hype as being the 'most talented'.

I dont say nepotism doesnt exist Or Alia hasnt benefitted from it. Nor is nepotism good.

But downright humiliation of Alia and calling her ugly, talentless etc is wrong.. Like criticize karna hai yo kuch bhi bol do..

I find her attractive to watch on screen.. She is very very talented too.. And I havent even seen Highway or Gully boy completely.. Just saw bits.. So my perception of her as n actress is based on usual.. Not so critically acclaimed films like 2 states, kapoor and sons, dear zindagi, Raazi etc.

On the other hand have seen many of Tapasee's films.. All praised to the skies.. She is good as n actress but dont like her tone.. Kind of flat. Have same issue with Tabu And Kangana.. While they r fab actors I find their dialogue delivery off.

Thats not a problem with Alia.. She comes across as natural.

Even Yami.. Nothing extra ordinary.. She is a good looker And average actor.

I like Radhika Apte.. But this forum doesnt.

Sanya Malhotra is good but looks unconventional for a BW heroine according to IF standards.

Who else should we compare?

What about Ileana D' Cruz, who won the best debut award that year? Or Bhoomi? Or Kriti and Kiara?

As far as Alia is concerned, the same thing is happening to her which happened before RK perception created about her in public will now come back to ruin her. RK's ladies man image did more harm to him than good - you will rarely see girls swooning over him..because girls now think of him as a cheapskate skirt chaser and eventually ditching them.

Alia being the face of nepotism is gradually going down in terms of public's love and support - it was happening since Kalank, but now it is for sure on a downward spree.. Its not even like she was a Khan or Kapoor's kid..but she is facing more flak than even Jahnvi and Ananya.

I still dont think she is a bad actor or anything - but after watching girls like Tripti who just blew me away - I genuinely wont understand if BW will not give them more chances or meatier roles in heavyweight projects! I am sure there are many more talented people out there.

Studies are not needed to be a actor.

Everybody wants best for themselves. Who cares if others cannot face the politics.

This is simply jealousy

I do not hate her she seems better than her father and uncle

But I think her acting is highly overrated and she gets more opportunities than she deserves

Alia is not responsible if other directors start giving roles to her on request of KJO. It means that those outsiders were not very important part of the project. No director removes the best actor from a movie and replaces them over night.
