Why don't star kids sharpen their acting skills?

I am talking about the current generation of star kids. Most of them are average to below average in acting. When they have all the resources at their disposal, why not sharpen the most essential skill-- acting skills? Instead we have pictures of them going to gym, substantial weight transformations, plastic surgeries etc. all of which focus only on the looks aspect.

Do they really think they can take the audience for a ride? They care little to nothing for the craft.

The only decent acting I have seen in a star kid is Alaya F. The rest are plain atrocious.

The worst examples are Jhanvi and Sara. They should have just gone to an acting school.

To quote the famous Hansa:

1. Haye haye, wo kaam karenge?

2. Wo toh paida hote hi thakk gaye bhaisaab.

But all star kids are not horrible actors. What you have stated above is your opinion but acting is very subjective. For some people star kids may genuinely be good actors. Just because there is an insider vs outsider debate going on doesn't mean that all star kids are horrible actors and all outsiders are awesome actors. Yes there are quiet few star kids who are not great actors some are awful even same goes for outsiders who are awful as well.

I feel star kids like Ranbir and Hrithik are genuinely good actors as good as any one can be. Varun and Alia are decent as well. All these are way better in my opinion than outsiders like Sidhharth Malhotra. Ranbir and Hrithik are definitely better than Karthiik Aryan. Love aaj kal 2 is enough to show difference between Ranbir and Karthik leave insider vs outsider debate aside.

Yes and then there are outsiders who are way better than star kids. Rajkumar Rao and Vicky Kaushal are better than Arjun Kapoor, Aditya etc. My point is lets not generalize things as all Star kids needs to shapen their acting. There are some genuinely good actors among star kids as well. And there are horrible actors amongst star kids and outsiders.

Also you mentioned Sara and Jhanvi, yes they are not great actors but they are as good or as bad as Kriti Sanon. Personally i find atleast Jhanvi a better actor than Kriti.

I agree but I was talking about the current generation (Gen. Z) only. I definitely agree Ranbir and Hrithik are good actors. Sorry, I should have specified I was talking about Generation Z and that too, actresses mostly.

They don't get time. Their schedule is full with all those gym sessions and clinic visits. Besides when that itself sells their movie why bother working on acting skills or the thing that has gone extinct now, dialogue delivery.

Dialogue delivery is indeed very important, and a part of acting skills.

Why will a certain Arjun Kapoor work on his acting skills when even after series of flops and flops , some director still invests a 100 Cr budget war film on him

Majority of them be it star kids and outsiders don't really even know what that thing is anymore. Barely see anyone giving any importance to it.

But who are the Gen Z ones? I mean i think Varun and even Alia are good yes not great but good enough. Alia is better than an outsider like Kriti in my opinion atleast. Sara and Jhanvi are again not good but atleast Jhanvi is not awful. I saw Ghost stories i think Jhanvi was good in that. Outsiders like Kriti and that other girl in SOTY 2( don't remember her name) are not great either but then there are great outsiders as well like Tapsee Pannu. My point is we can't generalize . Acting good or bad is a very subjective thing and nothing tot do with being a star kid or not.

Nepotism, star-kids who are neither good looking nor act well getting one opportunities after another is sad and bad... Agreed.

But then we need to look into things from a holistic angle. Star kids, Kjo, and Bollywood industry as a whole are just small parts of the entire visual entertainment ecosystem. We audience are the most impactful component of that system and it is us who have encouraged them to be lazy...

Why would Sara or Jahanvi think of even honing their acting skills when we lap up to them just because their parents have been stars once upon a time...

Why would either Aryan or Irbrahim Khan need to make a debut with proper acting skills and due competition when the audience are waiting for KJo to launch them asap on silver screen?

Why would nepotism and mediocrity not flourish when Taimur Ali Khan is already a bigger star than his parents?

I don't at all mean that star kids should be victimized for being born to parents they didn't choose. But the same should be applied to the outsiders as well..

KJO wants to launch Aryan Kahn --- fair enough. But let him compete with outsiders through a proper audition and get the role on merit.

The onus is on us viewers/audience at large to make that happen.
