That's in such poor taste. You have 292381947219 ways of giving a compliment but you choose to use a disempowered and marginalized community, who are currently fighting hard to dispel the misconception that sexuality is a choice, and you end up doing them a great disservice by promoting a false idea that you can turn gay by choice.

Even if this was meant as a joke, jokes have consequences, especially if the subject of the joke is one of the weaker sections of the society.
