yes I call out anyone who doesn't get my point and tries to create a false narrative.

If you put an human in every other movie audience has no choice to go and see that movie

That does not mean they go for alia

They go for hero or story or director on songs etc or they are going with friends no own choice etc just for company etc

Simple logic

I doubt 100% all go to watch alia in her movies

Atleast your friend showed the skills necessary before using that connection. In alias case someone made a phone call let’s say for Highway without any definite proof that she could do the job
When the director has doubts like in dear zindagi, you respect and move on. Don’t try to pressure just because you are co producing. Point is they push the limit of what healthy networking is. They go beyond it and it is not right.

In my opinion, Alia definitely proved herself in Highway, it was a great performance. But I’ve seen some of your other comments and recognize that you don’t like Alia at all, because you’ve even gone after her looks, etc.. So even if she got the chance to do screen tests or whatever because of a phone call she showed that she had the ability too.

As far as Dear Zindagi, it was a Dharma film. That means Karan put his money into it. As a result, he had the full right to disregard the doubt of a director making her second film.

And Ofcourse Shandaar and Kalank

That’s half of her filmography. 50% hits

Also she has no Blockbusters. Even Juhi, Raveena and Anushka Sharma have blockbusters to their name. So much for “number 1 actress”

Also Shraddha has 9 flops out of 17 films. She has one blockbuster too. She pretty much has the same trending and hit making ability

Highway and Udta Punjab were not Dharma movies so their profit or loss would not have affected KJO. However, her performance in them were highly appreciate and helped prove her acting capability. She has a pretty good success ratio with Dharma. The movies don't have to be blockbusters, they have to be profitable. Also, lets keep in mind that none of her movies were the typically hero lead masala potboilers like All Salman movies, Most Akshay movies, housefull series, golmaal series etc where the heroine is just a pretty prop for the songs and most of the heavy lifting is done by the heroes. Even if such movies are ATB, it does nothing to help the career of the heroines in them. Look at Sonakshi, Jacqueline etc All Alia's movies have a significant role for her so their success is actually adding to her brand value and credibility.

I am not saying she is a bigger star than Juhi, Raveena, Anushka etc. I am merely pointing out that people's arguments against Alia are flawed because:

1. She has done 9/12 films with Dharma so the argument that KJO is arm twisting every tom dick and harry to cast her does not hold true considering she has barely done movies outside Dharma.

2. She genuinely has given successful films and good performances so we can no longer say that she is getting movies because of nepotism. Maybe early on in her career you can say she got a film because of connections but now she has proven her worth to get films on merit.

Let's see what happens when her movies start failing.

it’s fine to have your opinions and to like her. I may go after her because compared to other top actresses, I find her average in looks and talent and I am not used to that being a bw fan

I personally find her career journey manipulative and I can’t change that feeling. I don’t think I’ve felt that for another actress ever. It’s not that she isn’t talented or should not be in bw at all-the whole point is to acknowledge that her privelege surpasses nepotism.
