Lovely update. Delicate and sensitive are what I associate this chapter with. Beautiful. Irrespective of what Payal feels for Arnav, overall all of them are a nice bunch of friends. Did they notice the gestures and stealing glances? It is hard to miss, especially when they are looking at each other every other second. Lovely lines sprinkled all over the chapter. Just by reading those lines I feel like I am standing next to them and enjoying the mahfil.

In the middle of the chapter I was thinking about the missing payal and lo and behold, Arnav returned it to Khushi in such a wonderful fashion. By the way how did he know her other name is Ayeza?

Wonderful my dear writer. I have no words to express how I am feeling after reading the brilliant narration.

I learnt a lot on how to bow and touch your forehead when saying Aadab

Bari Mukhtasir si mulaqat thi woh

Na tumne kuch kaha na

Meri himat hui.

Cheers.....

Thank you so much. It is very kind of you to say so :)

Payal introduced Arnav and Khushi to each other at the end of chapter 3(2). That is how he knows that she is Khushi Ayeza Khan Gupta.

Such silence, friends? Should I understand that it's time to snuff out the candle in this mehfil?

Lines of surprised confusion on Khushi's forehead made me say that. 😊

Sorry, I completely forgot about the introductions in the last chapter.

Oh no! Please don't do that. I think many of them must be sleeping. Normally I notice activity between midnight and early morning of my time and it is only afternoon here.😊

Cheers.....

Oh, that. Fair enough. The surprised confusion on her face is because Khushi is not used to being addressed as Ayeza :) In any case, she had presumed that she was alone, so being addressed from behind threw her off a little. Thank you so much for noticing these details.

You really do have a way with words! Like sunlight brings objects to light, the way you write - the prose, brings shine to the nuanced emotions of these characters. The hesitancy, the potency! The apprehension, the anticipation! All of it unfolded spectacularly.

The segment about the discussion of romantic and revolutionary poetry rang so true! The verses rightfully highlighted that the passion, the jazba of poetry is (and will remain) unmatched!

Really relishing the way the story is paced and developed! The meeting in the parking lot and the conversation was spirited and intense!😳 The next mulaqaat (along with the dissection of this parking lot encounter) is much awaited!

I was listening to this album of the movie ‘Laila Majnu’ recently, and the song ‘Tum’ really resonated with me while reading the chapter. :)

My family is ridiculously snobbish about aadab and we’ve been trained to do it well since we were kids! Like elders literally judge people as per their rendition of it, so it was for the first time I suddenly started because Khushi’s judge-y eyes got back so many memories!!

I don’t know why but this seems to be fitting from Arnav’s perspective because Khushi has bowled him over:

Aafat to hai wo naaz bhi andaz bhi lekin,

Marta hun mai jis par wo ada aur hi kuch hai...
