Karan Johar and his obsession with Alia

Can someone please tell me why Karan Johar is obsessed with making Alia Bhatt the next big thing? 😕 I’m actually curious. There are so many other “star kids” around but Karan seems to focus more on Alia.

Sometimes I wonder who is her actual father ? Mahesh or Kjo

He enjoys seeing people of his “own” making it big. he likes keeping the privileges of stardom in his own family. He’s got an elitist attitude and he feeds off the success of people he wants to see successful

I really think priyanka’s success has made him very obsessed. As she was always competing with kareena, and the fact that pc made it global and kareena didnt got to him.

KJO would never touch a woman 🤣

I think kjo just wants to prove that his discovery/mentee is the best in the world..Aloo's success is a huge ego boost for him. Initially he probably casted her just as another nepo kid..but in the process got attached to her cos both are similar in nature... then with all the nepotism allegations, kjo got pissed and took it as a challenge to make her the biggest star in bollywood..luckily for him she is a decent actress, and has delivered.

It's because Karan adores Kareena and Alia is a mini bebo for him.

I think he earmarked her since her childhood. Tbh i didn't know KJo was that close with Bhatts or Pandey since he almost never worked with them and if he wanted, he could have given a break to their sons and nephews too

He chose Alia because it was easy to manipulate. All he needed was someone who make his films for less money and agree with everything he says. So Alia was the perfect candidate.

He tried the same with Kareena at the beginning of her career and when she refused, he banished her from the Dharma for years.

She is like a project to him...a project to boost his own ego and propel his sense of power. He wants to show the world he can curate a career and make them the numero-uno of Bollywood. It's all power games.

Similarly, Jhanvi is his new blue-eyed girl. Imagine getting projects like Gunjan Saxena and Takht after Dhadak.

I think he isn't even invested in them emotionally or anything. To him, they are pawns in boosting his won ego.

Karan Johar tries to usurp anyone who is remotely successful into his own camp. The very people he treated like dirt he will put them on a pedestal if they start tasting success. E.g. - Ayushman Khuarrana. On the other hand, he will drop them like hot potatoes eventually if success eludes them. E.g. Sid Malhotra.

The way Alia has risen to the top is the manifestation of Karan's power games. Her contemporaries like Parineeti, Shraddha and Kriti have lost multiple projects to her, and had blinds circulated against them( esp. Parineeti and Kriti, being outsiders).
