Was October a movie that you enjoyed?

I know October was not everyone's cup of tea. Lots of people in the theatre were frustrated by the movie. It was slow and had a sluggish pace. But I loved it❤️

For me, the fact that the love story was not a typical one piqued my interest. These were two very different people who lived in their own worlds. There was no tangible reason for Dan to feel the way that he did. It was just his inherent sensitivity which triggered his love, if it can be called that. For him, it was just too big a deal that someone had asked for him before going into a deep sleep from which they may never wake up again.

Varun was superb in October! I wonder why this performance is so underrated on this forum.

For me, he was able to completely rip off his commercial image through October. To say that Dan is a complex character to essay may very well be an understatement. I don't mean to say that Dan is not someone who you won't come across in your everyday life, that is highly likely. But still, just like the rest of us, there is a certain uniqueness about him. His set of values and emotions are starkly different from the ones around him.

The movie was so slow yet so lyrical, so subtle yet so meaningful. I know a lot of people didn't like the movie because nothing much happened, but I think that's the beauty of it. The silences in the movie spoke volumes...

Please share your opinions/thoughts if you watched it.

This is a story which moves at a snail pace, doesn't have traditional protagonists or structured plot points, and will not be considered conventional entertainment. I can understand if most people didn't like it. But for me it was magical. For me, the movie was the reflection of life as an unfathomable philosophy and not an ambitious journey.

This song sums up the film's mood:

Yeah, the mood was melancholic. Also, I agree it was too slow. But I didn't mind😊

It was like a test match. May feel slow or unexciting, but has it's own mazaa.

I enjoyed it in a theater, and so should have any cinephile.

Actually, it's funny you said that. I was imagining Ranbir in this role when I watched it. He would have aced this character⭐️

I have heard people calling this movie "a snooze fest". But for me, I was bored to tears whilst watching Bharat, and that made 200 crores.

October is a very personal film, it transcends the materialistic view of love. Gulabo Sitabo falls in the same category, only it's not a love story.
