Oof your meetings they can't even give you a break for one day. Nope....about to eat dinner soon. I'm having chili and beans tonight...seriously can't wait to have homemade food. What did you have for dinner?

It's hard to explain...asking for personal space translates to "I don't want anything to do with you" to them...I really don't want to make my parents upset and make them feel like that I'm ungrateful after all the sacrifices they have made for me. No, my family doesn't have a dating app 😆 in arranged marriages, you find people through your network of friends and family and people get "recommended" for each other. I guess my parents are confused therefore I am confused. I am their first kid aka "test kid" and no matter how many years they live here, it will always be a foreign land to them. They are afraid of me losing my culture and leaving behind my identity so even they don't know what they expect from me when it comes to dating/marriage

I do things I like that my parents might not approve of but I never tell them. Tbh it doesn't matter too much since I barely ever live at home. But, since they call me a lot, they usually know what I'm doing. TBH I don't do anything crazy or illegal 😆 It's simple things like writing stories, going on late night drives, drinking wine sometimes

No worry...all of our parents want good things to happen to us......... just the method they use not necessarily always the best......but proper communications help to overcome the barriers.......

For the funny story..........someone was so worried about her nails not done.....she has spent most of her time with me discussing that instead of her issues...........than she was showing me her feet to explain how embarrassing for her when nails are not being done...........🤣I was like OK....after stay home orders are done I may need to switch my profession and will open a nail salon what I have no training and can't do my own...........

@bold - I laughed out loud at this to myself 😆 my neighbors will think I am crazy. Well....if you do end up working with feet, reach out to in a couple of years and maybe I can join you since I will be studying podiatry 🤣 Doctor with part time nail salon...sounds good to me

TBH even I'm so shocked when people are complaining about nails and eyebrows during a pandemic...I'm like we have more imp issues on hand but again I don't really get my nails or brows done so it isn't a big deal to me as it might be to someone else

No more late dinner........please.....chili beans sound yum........... I had mine.........I ate Tavuk Doner and Porsiyon Zeytin Yagli Yaprak Sarma/ Stuffed Grape Leaves....

We have curfew 8 PM - 6 AM...most of the riots are in downtown and I live far from there but where I work is at risk for riots breaking out so I'm keeping up with the news.

You guys also stay safe...NYC is a big place so it doesn't take time for things to go crazy in big cities. A lot of violence inciters have disguised as protestors and are making the situation bad....even police officers & national guard are doing too much now....did you see that they shot a pregnant women and she miscarried? I saw it on twitter and someone wrote that "her unborn african-american child was a victim of police brutality even before he had the chance to live"...that hit me hard

Well that's bound to happen since everyone is out and about....many protestors aren't even wearing masks or maintaining social distancing...I'm so scared about the second wave...
