I watched Panga today. Decent film, but the second half was so underwhelming, especially the Kabaddi matches. It was badly lacking in drama. India was winning all the matches so easily, so the audience never feels like cheering either. So so underwhelming after a decent first half. No wonder it flopped.

Dead to me

So twisted and ridiculous yet so amazing. I loved it.

Wake Up Sid - I've watched this movie so many many times but it never fails to me. Ranbir and Konkona were so charming in each frame. The characters were so relatable and beautifully played, the cinematography was stunning, the songs heightened the emotions the characters felt. One of those rare films that i felt was PERFECT from start to end.

Junoon (1978) - Happy to have found this film! Some scenes are long drawn out, and may be a tad bit slow for some, but this film has beautiful cinematography. Poetry in motion. A very ambitious movie that was well shot and done justice to. Easily Shashi Kapoor and Jennifer Kendal's best acting. Nafisa Ali looked like a dream and conveyed her emotions through her eyes with little dialogue. Shabana Azmi, as usual, was amazing as a jealous wife.

Bosch season five: Another excellent season, after Dexter, this is the show where I feel like characters are so close to heart.

Finished two episodes of The Man in The High Castle, it is so slow man, but I will get through it. Even The Boys felt slow, but it turned out to be a great show.

Ponmagal Vandhal ( Tamil)

This is one of the first movies that is directly released to a streaming platform ( Prime)

It stars Jyothika and includes veteran actors like Bhagyaraj, Parthiban and Thiagarajan

Its a courtroom drama investigating a murder case several years back that convicted a woman of being a serial killer who abducted and killed several children and 2 men.

Jyothika plays the lawyer who re-opens the case to defend the woman convicted.

Movie is a one time watch, too much melodrama at first but picks up in the 2nd half. Jyothika has performed really well.

6.5/10

100: Tamil Movie 2019.

Another generic suspence thriller, which lost its steam due to too many twists and turns. While it isn't a bad watch, good for one time, but not much worth noting.

Kedarnath - Watched this on TV today. Finally a movie of recent times that I liked. Sara was really natural and had so much screen presence. Sara/Sushant made a nice pairing. The movie was shot beautifully, and the story was decent as well. I liked the length of the film.. it was just nice. All in all, a very good one-time watch.

Have you watched Kaithi, it's a masala movie which is being re-made by Ajay Devgan in the lead.

Also if you liked Thadam, watch Thegdi ( Tamil) and Hit ( Telugu)
