Why are foreign Bollywood reaction channels so popular? Your opinion - Page 2

I only like OSR, find their reactions genuine. All the other channels look fake. I dont like Jaby, watched a few of his videos, him and his guests looked bored or mocking the content.

What I find funny is that Indians are so naive and gullible that they start sending these reactors gifts and stuff. I'm like...why??? They're not doing anybody a favor by reacting to Bollywood movies. It's their job, how they earn money.

My opinion is not politically correct on this, so wont go there. 😆

Also I'm skeptical of the authenticity of the reactions.

But they exist because there is a market for them, and it's all good; to each their own!

Cos we need to seek validations from goras

Why do we care abt random people's reactions. It's not that they are film critics or respected names in their fields

U don’t see Koreans, Chinese, Africans or any other ethnicity begging foreigners for reactions to their videos

Not only goras, BW fans also watch Asian contents, Arabic contents, black contents... but yeah, gora contents are more popular. Now coming to why... woh buddhu fans sochne lagte hai mera/i favorite global icon hai...they don't understand no gora has been watching the Hrithik Roshan drooling videos... No gora except the reviewers knows who Hrithik is... BW fans are the consumers, they demand, YT wale supply. They watch it coz they want to live in delusion.

Simple: Indians love Western validation.

And these goras pander to these audiences to get more likes and subscribers, ie to mint more money.

One other reason could be that we love to see other people experience the culture shock, which is why we watch foreigners. But do you ever wonder why there are no African or Middle Eastern parallels to these Americans? Again, because we love gora validation.

These goras hype the most basic stuff, like some of them were reacting to Tulsi Kumar songs and going about what a great singer she is. Masakali 2.0 and Dus bahane remix which were trashed by desis get rave reviews from them. They mostly fawn over everything because there were some youtubers who gave honest reactions and they got a lot of dislikes and people unsubscribed.

Also these people are not reacting because they like it. They could be reacting to a lot of Chinese or Korean or Nigerian stuff? But no, they largely stick to desi videos because that's what gets them those numbers.

They remind me of this Twitter reporter Norbert Elekes who Indians discovered during the pandemic, and suddenly he has been tweeting a lot of Indian stuff to get more Indian followers. I guess that's how this works.

You can tell people who genuinely love cinema from those who do it ONLY for the money. OSR and Jaby are pretty good. The German duo is good, too - Jimmy and Deniz. I haven't found anyone else that's good.

Nothing wrong in looking at external validation. I watch Pakistani reactions, also. And Korean.
