Laxmi Bomb was never going to make 250 crores in theatres, this is a huge coup, if true.

OTT agar BW ka future hai toh gaane kam ho jayenge films se... Aur woh bhi 1 min se chote gaane honge.

I think this is for OTT and satellite rights both. Nahin toh 80cr bhi zyada hai. Film kuch din baad Star Plus mein premiere hogi.l

Netflix aur Prime wale bhi market price se zyada denge kyun ke producers would've earned 20-50cr more from sat right, which they might not gonna get if Prime/Netflix buuys them exclusively.

This movie is remake of kanchana, which gets telecasted once in a week.everyone know its story.who is going to watch it.Also most of the ott subscriber in india are from metros,and they are more into english web series or something like pataal lok,sacred games.

hotstar is a massy platform unlike Amazon and Netflix. It is mostly used for news, cricket and daily soaps, than for web series. So Laxmi Bomb will have a huge viewing premiere.

Only netflix buys exclusively

Prime would have digital premiere first but eventually sells their satellite rights , so i guess prime and hotstar both can bid higher as they would get some of it back from tv.

I am confused. Who is selling to whom?? Isnt fox star one of the co producer ?? And Hotstar and star gold are sister concern ...so who is selling to whom???

Kagazkalam ka selling... Co-producers will get paid their share. That's all Hotstar has to cough up. Baaki ke paise Hotstar ke bank se Fox ke bank account mein transfer ho jayenge.

Ott is future. Theatres will be only used for grand movies. Ott olatforms makes profit in long run from repeat viewings. They know what they are doing.
