I feel like I read something that she celebrated her 28th birthday in 2008, which means she would be 40 (1980 birth year) this year according to that. Honestly who knows and it doesn't matter.

How does it matter? Actresses lie about their age because they know youth is prized. Almost all of them look older than the age they claim to be except for very rare exceptions like Aditi Rao Hydari.

TBF in the interview she says she was 8 around the time the Berlin Wall fell, because she remembers the bread lines and misery. That doesn't mean she was 8 the year it started to fall. The "Fall" started in 89 and finished in Nov 1991. 8 in 1991 would mean born in 1983
