After a month of fasting, observing patience, rigorous worshiping and beseeching Allah for forgiveness and praying for his mercy, Eid marks the end of ramadan, but it is also the beginning of a disciplined self.
We learn immense and this should be carried on so as to meet the next ramadan with similar vigilance.
A time for family and loved ones, for community and being helpful towards the needy, Eid is a celebration of perseverance and faith.
While this year the festivities have had a slight divergence from the obvious funfair, as responsible citizens of the world, it is our duty to follow the guidelines, be alert and approachable.
May Allah be pleased with all of us, and our prayers are accepted.
