Exactly. He was so good as jealous man child. But madhuri and salman's antiques were not helping either. Gopal was heartless with broken heart, which he broke by his own hand.

Srk's character is hell annoying

It was a decent movie. It was a hit movie. And if SRK hams then all actors in the world ham. He was spot-on as a jealous husband who thinks his wife's friend is too much in their marriage.

Um I watched it as a child. Dad said he found SRK's character very immature. He couldn't share his wife with anyone. Including her own brother.
Chalte Chalte and Saathiya are better movies on typical and relatable marital troubles. Based on flaws the most men and women can more typically have. I just found SRK's character a bit immature. Maybe Salman was interfering with the marriage too much. He was the equivalent of having five friends and not one. Wanting to accompany them on the honeymoon was much. He should know that couples go on trips to spend quality time together. No couple would want a third party tagging along.

But a wife can have a life beyond her husband. He couldn't have taken up more time then most women take up for their independent lives outside their marriage. Most have a career, other family, hobbies, and friends.

One of the most cringeworthy, regressive, misogynist and puke-inducing movies EVER made. Also terrible terrible hamming from all the leads.

Yeah maybe the film could have been more iconic, if instead of putting so much focus on the stars. They put a bit more focus on the writing.
