I know how Yayati decreed it, but when I write 'Chandravanshis', I'm referring to all of Yayati's descendants, not just Puru's. If I want to refer to just Puru's descendants, I am specific about that

Yes they had different rules.

Their rules were slightly looked down upon by Pururava descandant

Vrish there are tribes where some tribe fought from pandav and some fought from kaurav

Yaudheya mother was from shivi tribe who live in Sindhu kingdom ( jadrath) and yaudheya live in Sindhu kingdom

And in this link mentioned that shivi tribe fought from kaurav side and yaudheya also belong to shivi tribe in Sindhu kingdom

There is no mention of Yaudheya either surviving, or dying. While it's possible, as someone else said, that he became the king of Shibi, it's just as possible that he died in the war.

I didn't get all the discussions of Prativindya vs Abhimanyu vs anyone else. How does it matter, when they all died in the war, and Parikshit - Abhimanyu's son - was their only surviving descendant?

My question was because generally a king's son is considered to be the next heir.. Yudhishthir definitely didn't have just one son. That's why the question, what about the other sons and why they weren't considered, since Panchali's son didn't survive.

Now I am getting sure Abhimanyu was born to Draupadi, Subhadra adopted him

But it's stated in the epic that he was born to Subhadra. Why would she adopt him?

I'm puzzled at this. Why wouldn't Panchali keep Abhimanyu if he were her son? I mean, wit my no polyandry theory, it would make sense, and I would be hugely happy 😆 . With polyandry, why? She and Arjuna would be husband and wife. Why give title of mother to Subhadra?

I am never believing Abhi is Panchali's son but i understand your feelings. This is me when someone says Arjun and Subhadra had another son ie Ruchiparvan. This has little support but I love to believe it. 😂
