He talked Maya out if killing MJ but was tok late to focus on MJ who aimed and shot at Maya. Rudra took the bullet and seeing this, MJ threw himself on the ground in grief. Maya rushed Rudra to the hospital who managed it out of danger after a long surgery.

MJ was shocked he shot his own son. There was news all over media that MJ shot Rudra, his only surviving son. Rudra gained consciousness after the surgery, he hated MJ. MJ not only lost Rudra's trust, he also lost his public image. He surrended to the police for his crimes. Rudra wasn't exactly angry with Maya, but he was hurt she hid the truth for so long. Maya came to meet him in the hospital room, Rudra tried to act angry seeing her.
