there is no yes...or no...answer...for this...questions...guess...it's more about a perception...I don't believe it would be necessarily always with the opposite gender.....it can be someone...who can relate...comfort...trust...understand...you...affection and love...also follow the same path as well...

yeah, we've had a couple of people mention a similar idea as yours that it is based mostly on compatibility. "Soulmates" don't necessarily have to be romantic partners and it could be a friend, family member, co-worker, etc. Lol I think even our pets can be our soulmates (I miss my doggie 💔 I lost him a couple years back)

Sorry about your doggie.....I didn't have a chance to take a look at the others' replies before...my phone is on duty and hammering my head for sure today...anyway....I often get confused with the soul concept even...we eat a bunch of junk food and name it as soul food...hope we don't hide behind soul to defend our guilt...
