Draupadi Satyabhama's conversation is also an important evidence for polyandry. She describes how she deals with five brothers.

It is also quite innovative and a good read.

Breathes patriarchy though . It's 2-3 pages, if possible give it a read!

Last comment on Arjun-Draupadi thing -

Humans are not as simple as restricting themselves to one emotion, it is perfectly fine for Drapaudi to like one husband more than other, I am going out on the limb and say it, not everyone is as good in bed, not everyone can carry out an imaginative conversation about Dharma, not everyone can do anything you ask them to do, not everyone can gossip with you about everything in the world.

They were all alone in the woods, Draupadi and Arjun share a bond of friendship too as Krushna was their common friend and there's a scene where Krushna, Satyabhama, Arjun and Draupadi are gossiping together in a room which is restricted to kids. One can only imagine what they were talking about, isn't it normal for us to miss a friend we talk about everything under the Sun when he is away? She didn't have anything to do, I am helpless without internet 🙃 then Arjun was her husband

It is absolutely alright for Draupadi to have feelings for anyone, Even if she was a love sick 16 years old, it is absolutely fine for her to miss her husband, absolutely fine to be vain and ask for flowers, it is absolutely fine for her to taunt Yudhishtira and make him feel as nothing while taking names of Arjun and Bhima who failed to protect her, Today, You won't see husbands who would let their wives complain to their male friends about their distress, and Draupadi formed that bond of friendship with Krushna which wasn't brotherly in nature

it doesn't take away her achievements and her political prowess, she is still the woman who walked on the path of empowering women, not only women who had status of queen but she was the one thinking about citizens of her Kingdom, she is still the one with enough economical knowledge to take care of a Kingdom

Draupadi living with Yudhishtira after he staked her is not my definition of feminism but again it was a different time and place, doesn't make her any less awesome

We shouldn't limit them, She can be anything she wanted to be that's what makes her ahead of her and our time where we still restrict women in one form or another

For the last time the only reason why that drapaudi missing arjuna part was described is because janemya asks him. Not because drapaudi preferred arjuna

I love my krishnaa. I will be the last person to restrict her to anything. Infact i pride in that fact that she was Vocal and puts her points well that she debated so well with yudhishtra that she was the only person who shared such a relationship with krishna that where she can freely advice him on anything and everything. I am absolutely proud of the kind of relationship that she built up with all her family members so much so that abhimanyu was considered her as much as he was Subdhara or arjuna. Also of the fact that even after facing worst she never loses her presence her mind. And not only saved herself but even her husband. I love the way she managed the empire. I am proud her compassion her sense if justice. Her ability to do the right thing her ability to believe in human goodness.

But having said that i would like to stand by by point that she didn't preferred arjuna in anyway that is just an exaggeration. Also i would not like to completely discard that she might only have been married to yudhishtra

More on the last point latter

Umm, @Poorabhforever,

Arjun also shared an equally beautiful relationship with Krishna. Panchali was not the only one.

You can call me adhya. Hi

Which line of mine states that arjuna didn't shared a beautiful bond with krishna ?? I was only talking about krishna and krishnaa. Its not necessary to include arjuna in everything

Adhya, thanks for the name. Makes it easier.

I saw in your post you said Draupadi was the only one, that's what I countered as Drau was not the ONLY ONE.

What i mean was the kind of relationship that krishna and krishnaa shared was unique and beautiful in its own way. I am sure krishna had different kind of relationship with arjuna with his wives with balram with subdhara. Etc

Yes but Balaram, Subhi etc are his siblings and wives are wives.

I only contradicted because Draupadi and Arjun were both friends with Keshav, they had the bond of friendship. That's why I compared. There's no use of comparing it with Balaram or Rukmini. 😆
