They were given as Daan to pandits. That was the sacrifice

The mughal paintings have created a wrong image that animals were killed after the Yagya

Even I used to believe this only but while going through Bal kand of valmiki ramayan there comes a story of ramji's ancestor ambariisha whose sacrificial animal gets lost so the priest tells him to get some other or gets a human and while searching he comes across vishwamitra's nephew and make him his sacrifice but later that sacrificial boy meets vishwamitra and tells him the whole story and asks for help who gives him mantra and later when he was going to be offered he recite this mantra and the yagya gets complete.

Ashwamedha ka horse was killed.

Though, I don't think every yagya needed that, only the major ones.

Ashwa - horse

Medha - flesh

I believe they ate/donated the flesh of the sacrificial horse there.

Reason: I believe the reason was to satisfy the Gods (through Agni and Brahman).

Cruel, yes, but custom also. 😳

The ashwamedha horse was cooked after the yagna and fed to all the attendees. It wasn't a vegetarian society back then

You all know we have four Veda in Sanatan Dharma and there five types of Yagya are mentioned"!

"In all these Yagya the sacrifice of animals isn't acceptable. It's term sinfully wrong"!

But yes the Bali paratha is often seen in Tantra Shastra which signifies Asur clan"! Perhaps they're reason"! Or else

"The people were such who could cut their own flesh for the sake of bird taken shelter from them"!

"These lines are from Three Ved and they speak of being against sacrifice of animals"! Sanatan dharm is always against brutality against animals"! Geeta upnishad Veda all of these doesn't support Bali paratha"! This is something come in addition later on"!

I comp,Evelyn agree with you .

The most ancient scriptures ..the Vedas shun animal sacrifice , they preach us to live all living creatures like we love ourselves .

Bold Exactly 👍🏼this what we should believe in cause this is where our root reside 🤓 when the world didn't knew the way of language we had scriptures

We shouldn't believe on one which imposed later on fkr whatever evil reason 😈

Irony is most of them aren't even aware of it hence they see it happening support it or despise the Sanatan dharma
