the title is a reference to the process of grief and the process of it that the characters go through in this FF.

Kneeling while praying for mercy or redemption, or kneeling in front of a grave - all of them happen at one or the other point. and when one kneels long enough on the ground - be it a temple or a graveyard, peace will come at some point in one form or the other, or so we hope. and that's the symbolism of flowers.
