Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan is set to re-run once again on Star Plus as well. According to a leading portal, Ramayan will re-run on Star Plus from 4th May.

I really don't get why Ramayan is famous today as it was in those days as I saw a glimpse of some scenes and found them hilarious as graphics those days were too bad. Ravan kidnapping Sita seemed so false and most of the fight scenes that weer famous too looked fake. I can understand the acting was great but you don't connect with such scenes now. Recent Mahabharat was just fab but are they telecasting it now?

Also heard about the actors demanding royalty but when no agreement is signed, they won't get anything. I don't see even today's actors having any royalty agreement while the actors of Friends are minting even today from the rerun of their show.

Clearly SP is trying to profit from the popularity. -_-

Why not just rerun it again on DD? SP has no connection with this show.

Either way, I hope at least THIS time we get the WHOLE entire show unedited. Otherwise, it's no different from watching the DVDs, which are already edited versions.
