Top producers in advanced stage of negotiation with Netflix for OTT release as confirmed by Komal Nahta.

I think it's Gunjan Saxena, Sher Shah, Roohi Afzana and the A lister film is 83.

Jaanu's bad luck. If the news is right, both her films which are supposed to be her breakout performances will be on digital.

God knows what holds for all of us viewers in the future. I miss going to theatre.

Not 83...I missed watching Lagaan in the theater and was pinning my hopes on this one...noooo 😭

Other A lister film that's ready is Suryavansham but Nahta says the deal is happening with Netflix and no way will Surya release on Netflix since that's just not their audience. If it does release online, it will go to a massy OTT like Prime or Hotstar.

I haven’t watched the video and so not commenting on its contents but 83 on the digital media will not be that special anymore...At least not for me! :/

I am sure a huge part of 83 is just the cricket match. It is meant to be enjoyed on the big screen. People will flock to theatres even if it releases next year, because it's a period film. It doesn't matter when it releases.

I loved Lagaan and Chak De India but didn't like watching them on laptop or TV. Mazaa nahi aata.

Film shayad boring bani hai. 95% of the shooting happened in England. It is most likely to turn monotonous.

Other films are just seeing the money.

Exactly...A huge part of watching 83 is going to be all about the stadium simulation which can only be achieved in the theatre...Cannot even imagine watching it cuddled up in my couch with the screen just a few inches away....😵

This top star is trying to release his film on the Netflix but Ranveer is just an actor and not yet at that stage where he can have a say in the release of his movies?
