I think every producer who has a film ready is now just waiting for someone to make the first move. Once someone does make a deal and announce, I think more announcements will start happening.

Don't think it will be pay per view since Netflix anyways charges a bomb. They'll recover from more subscriptions if they get such huge films on board. Hotstar released Angrezi Medium within weeks but it was not pay per view. Though I wonder why Netflix is always their first preference. Isn't that the least watched OTT among all major players in India?
Is it? Here it is the opposite...Netflix leads the race, at least last I checked and has the most premium content compared to Hotstar etc ,for that matter even more than Prime...And it doesn’t cost anymore than these other platforms, but of course not counting the other perks that come with the Prime...

Yeah in India, Netflix is the most expensive. It's pretty much a luxury. Prime is affordable and Hotstar is the leader in OTT space in India.

I think so too...Not only the movies but the Alist actors too will eventually end up making their debuts on these platforms and are just waiting for the right opportunity...
Less and less movies will end up on the big screens...which is not a very good news for people like me...I can hardly concentrate on a movie at home...It takes me multiple sittings to finish a movie...ðŸ˜

Yeah and also OTT platforms are behind the new films because very soon even their completed shows will get over once everything is released. And then they won't be able to release any original till shooting starts.
And then one day both originals and completed films will get over and then...😳
The producer of 83 has said it will not release digitally, he said the movie is made for the big screen experience so they will wait for when it's safe to release it in cinemas
