Considering all as human. Niyog as surrogacy is clearly stated in Mbh as well as Vedic texts like Manu smriti. Meaning intercourse happened until pregnancy.

Shakra might've been king of a foreign land. Rich with a large army.

Hmm and I guess he could have been the king of Egypt reasons mentioned above

Have they defined the process of Niyog though? I think they artificially put it inside

That's what I was saying. If we consider Swargyalok or Indralok as a foreign land, and Arjun visited his dad during the Vanvas, then definitely Indra has to be foreign. Egyptian King is possible because Egyptian features were not very different from Indian features as far as I know.

If we go with the Revti and Balram ji story, Revti and her dad visit Brahmlok and spend some time there before asking for a suitable groom for Revti.

Brahmaji to this replies that they should immidiately return to earth as years have passed during their journey to this Lok and when they reach earth many Yuga would have passed and they must find Balram ji for marriage

Even if we consider this as completely a story or fiction, I don't think the principle of time dilation could be so aptly demonstrated just by a coincidence without any knowledge about it
