Because Ramayan and Mahabharat was a mythology which can't be changed or altered. Its not a fantasy like Chandrakanta, Aladdin or Alif Laila that can be altered to suit today's times. Though I agree with him slamming Ekta but sometimes he is too much like copying western culture and all when in fact west copied many things from us. Many of english words are taken from sanskrit words.

I used to watch this one always, (because it came on after Jai Shree Krishna) and I'm kinda still attached to it kyunki, my first MB na! 😆

Not everything that is creatively foolish western influence, MB or Ramayan belong to public domain people can creatively twist it the way they want.... There are novels that exist like Draupadi in high heels or there was this Indian TV show called antriksh which was based on Ramayan that included aliens and stuff, it's fine. It's not like BRC was accurate. Did Ekta alter the storyline? I'm not aware.
