Yeah, unfortunately it's not free for prime account members, but it's cheaper than the DVDs. Each season (consisting of 30 episodes) is $5, so with 300 episodes, that's 10 seasons in all so $50 for the entire show....which is still pricey but not too bad? Although if you spend a few more bucks, you'll probably just get the DVDs. 😆

They should stream it on Netflix. Sagar Pictures' Ramayan from 2012 is streaming there, so it shouldn't be a big deal in terms of copyright, and that way Netflix members at least can watch it for 'free'.

The 2008 Ramayana is there on YouTube but a few episodes are missing from it. I like it more than the Ramanand Sagar Ramayana.

P.S. DD Ramayana topper the TRP charts for Hindi GEC last week.

By the way people do you think Ramayana will help us part the divide caused by the leftist media.

Ramchandra was a friend of Nishadraj Guhya(sorry if I misspelled his name) and was his classmate at Vashisht Muni Ashram. He met Nishadraj before leaving for Van and spent a night with him and his men. Ate with then. Isn't it a slap to those who believe that in ancient India the supposedly low caste were considered untouchables and were not allowed to study

Ramji couldn't have probably won against Ravana had it not been for the Vanara Sena whom he met in South India, and they collaborated well, isn't this a proof that the supposed Aryan Dravidian split was never actually a split. Either they were the same race or both the races were together without any problems? Probably after Rishi Agastya and Kartikeyji visited the south?

I do not have much knowledge on the Sangam literature, never got a chance to read it, but whatsoever I have read about it, it never actually shows any enmity to the people of North. I don't think such an important point would have been missed in one the most comprehensive writings of all times if that really existed

Would wait for your opinions since I know many here are from South India

There was no such thing as "untouchables" in ancient India, nor was there any mention of them in the Vedas. In ancient India, all castes were respected as they all served an important purpose in society. Brahmins were revered as the educators/priests, kshatriyas were the Kings/soldies/protectors, Vaishyas were the businessmen/took care of the economy and Shudras were the hard laborers who tolled the land and yielded fruit. Without either one caste, society could not function and thus, all were respected. There was no such thing as 'untouchables' as that came much later on during Mughal Era. People think untouchables are a part of Hinduism. Unfortunately many Hindus themselves thing think, but those that study the Vedas know the truth.
