I do feel audience do want to see what happened to Rishi-Priyanka, Ranbir's sister Mishti and progress in Disha, Purab, Arhana story.

So more than audience response, it's just a technique by the cvs I guess to promote their MAIN LEAD!

All this is what I could conclude from reading the comments of the audience so I can't claim it's a FACT which I pointed out.

You are talking about the sensible audience which is basically like 20%. If you read the comments and bash on insta posts you'll realize that most audience don't care for the plot but just wants lead nok jhok and romance. If people really did follow the plot like you say then during that 7 year leap there's no doubt that king deserved to be with pragya more than abhi. But obviously most people didn't want that,they liked abhi's possessive toxic trait so they made king bad in the end just to make abhi redeemable. King respected and trusted pragya even though she wasn't completely honest with him but what was his fate. And about rishi Priyanka,I think most people are glad they aren't there anymore. They don't care about how it ended

I'm not very active in social media so I don't know about insta and stuff, but I believe as you said, the others really don't care about the plot but only want the nok-jhok and the romantic scenes of the lead even if they act TOXIC or DUMB! Moreover, they don't even care that the plot created by the cvs is a TOOL for FOOLING them.

It's all a PART AND PARCEL of the lives of cvs and the audience.

So, we shouldn't be arguing for that.

I feel really glad that people have put their valuable opinions on this discussion thread and thanks a lot , Anandi Suresh Ma'am, for sharing in your input.

It is just that for the Cvs

The thing that matters the most is TRP

For eg

Take me as a viewer

The reason I started watching KKB2

Was when I came to know the male lead had fallen in love much earlier than the female lead.

They showed how a man would/could behave in love while the female was totally like

umm why are you lost/staring ?

So when I started watching it

I liked aryan with ranbir

Sahana with saritaji

I liked rishi

I wanted pranbir and ariana's bond of friendship explored in depth

I did not like priyanka

Although the Cvs had stretched their story like 1 month

They could have shown a proper ending

So basically viewers on general like chemistry between their leads

Although there are few serials which are high on content

I can name a few like barrister babu, Diya aur Bati Pratigya, Sada Haq which got good TRPs too.

Rest of the shows had love triangles, memory loss, blame games,plot twists and drams and still managed to do well

So we never know what the audience wants.

So Cvs stick with weel to week TRP and modify the story line as per TRPs

They just use the parallel leads when they want to bring the main leads close.

And once the audience gets attached to the chemistry to the leads there is no looking back

Phir chahe main ML toxic ho dumb ho

Has no faith or respect for the FL

Everything is tolerated

And

ML are justified too
