I don't want to pinpoint RoshAn in particular because in quite a lot of mainstream shows such abuse has been appreciated. To sirf RoshAn ko hi kyun bhar bhar ke gaali doon?
Point is, somewhere along the line, there should be some realistic attribute or human characteristics but in TV shows both the abuse and good nature is blown out of proportion.
I would be honest here, when I saw Thappad's trailer for the first time, I was a bit confused. Because yes, violence can never be overlooked. But then again, in extreme rage or in a really horrible situation, a person even a woman can accidentally slap another. So is that reason enough to break a marriage?
Now that I am watching the movie, I am glad the way the story is shaping up. It was more because of what followed next and not just the slap. The last scene struck a cord because you can feel the girl too was sad but she took a decision and she stood by that.
I personally believe if you truly love someone, there will always be some residual love left in you. But if it's enough to get back or not, that depends on the situation and whether the person is repentant or not.
Piya took out that time. She made it clear where she stood. Rosh has never done that and I suspect whether she'll ever do that or not. So let's not even talk about it. That show is not worth discussing.
