He was being incredibly selfish then, when he married her the first time, and incredibly selfish now, when he married her for the second time.

Ouch, this hits home. This is true. And I agree with @journal. When Kunal was being insensitive, taking out his anger on Kuhu and just being a general jerk, she responded with understanding and love. That's why Kunal came back from the dark place he was in. As they say, you can't fight fire with fire. Kuhu needs love right now.

IDK, it's this inequity in their relationship that really gets me. I so want Kunal to return the favour and be caring towards Kuhu. The writers ugh.

We all want Kunal to return the "favour" but then again, I want to say that love is not a balance sheet. They need to understand each other and find their footing and that will not be possible until Kunal steps up.

I want hate the writers but they know what they are doing here and that's what makes me impressed as well.

But the fictional fact of the matter is that their story is not that simple. She couldn't leave him then when he didn't love her and she definitely won't leave so soon when he has kind of confessed that he does love her.

She will leave only when she sees beyond a doubt that she will never have that place and that worth in his life that he has in hers.

Why she didn't leave him back then? I always wondered. Love okay but self respect? She was hiding her love under those taunts and tried to be stone hearted but the hospital scene proved she was still in love with him. Ouch that misunderstanding never cleared

True, love is not a balance sheet but when it's this imbalanced, one is hard-pressed to see the love. Also, would we be forgiving of it if it was Kuhu behaving like Kunal? It's a pattern that male characters on ITV get away with so much.

I mean, Kunal didn't even properly confess his love to Kuhu and he hasn't been the best husband in the second innings of their shaadi. I just want more for Kuhu 💪I feel that she has set the bar very low for Kunal and a lot of women do that in their relationships.

My only hope is that all this lack of tact from our #dufferchokro is because they are planning a better milan for our KuKu but knowing the writers, I doubt it.

It's nothing but realistic I'd say. The favor we are talking about was like 3 or 4 months back? We remember it coz of the limited KuKu scenes we have and analyze them over and over again. But in real life nobody remembers such things especially if the reason for falling out has been resolved (patch up with Abir). So I would assume the writers are trying to just show the reality. Kunal has forgotten the incident..

Yes, exactly. It's surprising 'cause at the beginning, I always thought Kuhu would be the one to set Kunal right but the writers surprised me by having her hanker for his affection. Sometimes I don't understand how Kuhu sees herself in relation to Kunal because while she is a sherni with Mishti and the others, she becomes very tame in front of Kunal.

Actually would like a scene like the hospital one again where we could see Kunal's feelings for Kuhu brought forth due to a crisis.
