So if Kuhu would've trusted the bros do you think Mishti would've been held repsonsible? I don't think so. Abir would've trusted her and everyone would've followed the plan. Kuhu and Kunal would've left and Mishti Abir would've stayed back. But because Kuhu exploded it gave Mishti a chance to vent out at Abir that they need to put a fullstop to Kuhu's behavior (did she say it like 3 times🤪). She also went to the extremes saying Kuhu will break the bros. It hurt me but then Kuhu invited this allegation. Even if Kunal wanted to support her how could he?

@bold: I dont think so, abir was clear 'main jaunga kyunki mera bhai jaa raha hai', besides he doesnt trust meenu so he would have doubted that meenu will use this opportunity to create another misunderstanding or will do something to involve kunal and not let kuku come back to resort

infact all of abir's startegies during last few episodes are indicating about his plan that 'we 4 should stick together'

@bold: Well there you go. Like Abir said, Kuhu has two choices: she can either accept that this is the way it's going to be for the rest of her life (which puts her right back at Maheshwari square one) or she can push back and make Mishti understand that she won't hide her problems in this household the way she did in their maika. She doesn't have all the information we do, and truth be told, Mishti hasn't done herself any favours either.

Mishti told her on the first night that she didn't want any drama but the very next day she overreacted to the haar breaking and pushed Kuhu out of the pooja preparations despite the fact that Kuhu apologised multiple times, she did the whole sleeping-pill/birthday bait and switch, and she gave Red Pear back to Kunal only to hover around Parul Maasi and encourage Kunal's public acknowledgment of her as his mother. Kuhu desperately wants to believe Mishti when she says she just wants to live peacefully, but every time Kuhu tries to mind her own business and focus on her life (and she really tries!), the boat is rocked by the combination of Meenu's provocation, Jasmeet's instigation, Kunal's need to please everyone, and Mishti's manmani which leaves Kuhu scared and confused.

So she made a choice. It was the wrong one, or maybe it was the right choice, executed badly or maybe there isn't a right choice in this situation. You just decide one way or another and deal with the consequences. And even though this choice blew up in her face, I respect the risk she took when she made it.

Okay! I have played catch up and now, I must share my opinions on the episode!

As said before, I agree with Sam on most points. I think everyone was called out for their behaviour, some in a subtle manner and others, in a not so subtle tone. I think she covered why and how everyone was called out so I don't have to do it. (Yay!🥳)

I agree with y'all that Kuhu's behaviour was totally uncalled for and it was wrong but I also do see why she did it. This has been her experience every time that Mishti says something to her but does something of her own accord. Mishti should not have messaged Ketu without discussing this with others, whatever the intent behind the message. That, I feel, was where the breach of pact happened. I feel Kuhu would have berated her for messaging Ketu as well, though not as aggressively. The talk with Meenakshi just made her fly off the handle.

In all of this, I do have to say I hate the way Mishti and the Maheshwaris talk to Kuhu. They treat her as some tantrum throwing child when she is not one. She has proven that multiple times. The problem starts when they start treating her as a child. They keep reinforcing that statement and she starts acting like one in return. I feel in this situation, the shift from sensible adult to tantrum child started after Holika dehen when Kunal told her to stop complaining like a kid, Varsha and BM came to her room and reinforced and reminded her of that feeling. She just needs someone to sit her down and listen to her once. As she said in the pool, that if you wanted to sort things out between us, you could have taken us to a coffee shop or a mall like adults rather than creating this elaborate plan and trying to bring the two together in life or death situations. The brothers think that the problem here is that the sisters haven't realised that they love each other in a conscious state. Such dum dums! Inko koi batao that they know they love each other deep down but their insecurities are much more stronger than the underlying love.

Coming to Kunal, I again agree with Sam on the point that this comes from years of practice with Meenu and Abir. It seems like Kunal has realised that his role of mediator is far from over. Rather, the responsibilities have doubled since the sisters became devrani-jethani. I may be reading too much into Kunal's behaviour here but bear with me as I narrate my theory.

He seems to be using his businessman brain and trying to divide and conquer the situations. He has realised that for the sisters to be together, he needs his brother and for his brother to be in his senses, he needs MishBir to patch up. So, first step complete. Second step probably involves talking to Kuhu. I am hoping that we'll get the conversation while Abir runs back to the resort on foot because car ki kya hi zaroorat hai. Wo to Kuhu ke backrest ke liye hi hai na #DufferChhokroKaDufferBro🤦🏻‍♀️. So, how I see Kunal's game plan is MishBir patch up leads to bhai on side for MishKu patch up leading to Kuhu's #mishtimania (thanks Clarity) getting over to her helping him with Meenu-Parul situation and then happily ever after with wife.

Kunal has always been the last priority for himself and so I would assume that the person giving him that happiness would be too. If y'all remember, he had said ki "maine khud ko bohot importance de di, ab mai saari importance Kuhu ko dena chaahta hu". Well, in this scenario, it is implied that he has given his place to Kuhu and made himself go one step further than being the last priority. So, then kuhu takes second last place. The problem here being that Kuhu wants Kunal to be the first priority like she wants to be. She has always by default been second fiddle and Kunal decided to take that place. Kuhu wants both of them to feel and be important for everyone rather than being taken for granted whereas Kunal is happy with the place he has chosen because he knows no different but he likes it when he is someone's first priority apart from his brother. For example, when he said that he can't believe that someone can like him so much after burning the divorce papers.

I hope this post made some sense because I think last para thoda jumble fumble ho gaya. Anyway, that was my basic takeaway from the episode.

I hope you creative people do write some good HCs after today's episode bcz my heart legit breaks for Kuhu💔 I think people can relate to her insecurities, just not the measures she takes. She's so concerned about her Ladaku Chokro being used but what does he say?

"Kyun hoti hai tumhy meri tension? Mere boards chal rahay hain kya?"

So mature. So mature, Kunal. 🙄

@aqua: You make a lot of sense, and I love the way you have figured out the rankings in Kunal's head -- that is exactly how his brain would work. #padhakuchokro 😆 If husband and wife are a unit, then Kuhu adopts his level of priority, and I think like you said, rather than giving her a higher position, he lowered himself one more rung. I probably sympathise with Kuhu's anger so much because I have always felt incredibly protective of Kunal myself. He's the one person holding this whole operation together.

I doubt kunal ne itna socha hoga😛

yes Kunal is amazed that he is someone's first priority, but he is reluctant because this means kuhu is now going to fight for him & this might create imbalance in how things are in rjv house, thats why he said that 'aaj ke baad iss bare mein mat bolna kabhi', though to abir he said 'kaun kya karta hai iss baare mein hum baat nahi karte because we all love each other'

I hope this post made some sense because I think last para thoda jumble fumble ho gaya. Anyway, that was my basic takeaway from the episode.

Yay! I found a supporter for my theory!

#padhakuchhokro🤭

I sympathize with Kuhu's anger too because she has seen Kunal do so much for his family. The only person he ever completely intentionally wronged was Kuhu and she got to know the reason for that during the Ganesh chaturthi episode. The fact that I really love about Kuhu is that she never blamed Kunal for anything else. She saw him for who he was, she helped him with anything and everything except for their own relationship because she had accepted that he didn't want the marriage. She only ever treated him coldly for the problems he created in her life.

Oh yes! That's a good point! He fears the shift in balance because of Kuhu's love. He loves it but he fears it's outcomes as well.

That's the thing. I can completely relate to Kuhu's insecurities and agree with her pushback because I understand were she's coming from but I feel like I'm making excuses for the way she behaves and feel guilty for not calling her out on certain things.

Still though, I can't get myself to hate Kuhu or Kunal, for that matter, because they're human.

At this point, they have spent more time apart than together. All these 'classic' love stories of couples who are 'meant to be' always involve decade-long separations where the couples hate each other, marry other people and get surprised with grown up kids who do everything in their power to bring their parents together.

WHAT A CLASSIC LOVE STORY

These so called classic love stories make me cringe real hard. KaiRa and their *Edited* kid. *Edited* Should probably not talk about this here. But that show gets ony nerves.
