On a totally unrelated note, does anyone follow Tanmay Bhat's youtube channel? He's been my saving grace during lockdown.😆

Not really. I've seen a few of his vlogs and I used to follow AIB but his individual content does not match my interests. The last vlog I saw was the Kunal kamra one. A college senior of mine appeared in one of his vlogs where she was hard at work (She manages a comedy club).

Hello my lovelies 🤗

Now that there is a lockdown, let's spend our quarantine here 😊

First, yesterday's Humma Humma scene was ☺️It really showed the potential that KuKu have. They were so FREAKING HOT! Ugh why was it so short? Can't believe Kunal is such an idiot that maa ke phone ke liye itne achche moment ko ruin kara. This boy needs to grow up. When tf will he realise that he is an adult? Kuhu looked smoking and I loved their chemistry.

Okay, now that I am done drooling, let's come to today's episode.

The last episode ended at a point where all conflicts reached a crescendo. I thought Kuhu was being very mean to Mishti today. She was way out of line, especially when she kept dissing her in front of Abir, so it's a good thing Abir let her know that it's not nice. However, I was very disappointed with Kunal. As Mishti's husband, Abir has the right to tell Kuhu to cut it out but Kunal should be the one trying to understand why she is acting out. I am glad he told her how Mishti and Meenu's conversation happened but he doesn't seem to get that the reason why Kuhu's resentment is mounting is because those she perceives as her loved ones, like Varsha, BM-BP and now Kunal always 'take Mishti's side'. As they say, a dual approach is required. Abir needed to call her out and Kunal needed to call her out BUT also reassure her and ask her what's wrong. Kunal is like the principal who keeps reprimanding Kuhu the errant schoolgirl but that approach doesn't work in every case.

I found his tone with her quite offensive. I mean, I wouldn't take it if a boyfriend/husband spoke to me that way. Kuhu has a very childlike response to it but I hope she realises they still have serious issues to overcome, the primary one being Kunal's bhaiyopia blinkered outlook on relationships.

I completely agree with you guys when you say he has different rules for his bhai-bhabhi different rules for KuKu. If he understands that a couple is "one unit", needs "privacy " and what not, why doesn't he apply the same rules to his life. Kuhu's reactions don't seem like she is taking it seriously and I wonder why that is. Couples fight but the way Kunal spoke to Kuhu was just not on. ☢️

Hey clarity! Thank God someone agrees with me. Kuhu was not looking at the bigger picture like she used to. She is bound to be chided by Abir for speaking ill against Mishti. Whenever she starts saying bro aap to jaante ho Mishti hai hi "one of the hashtags" and I'm like NOO! Stop saying that

on the ongoing episodes discussion:

in yesterday's episode, I loved that mishti warned kuhu to not push her ever again, kuhu clearly crossed the line when she pushed her (though it was a slight one but was totally uncalled for)🤢

also why does kunal try to restrain kuhu by holding her arm whenever mishku are arguing, this was second time, I saw it during holika dehan too, is he scared that kuhu might just slap mish like in divorce dramasmiley39

somehow I dont like this use of physical restrain by holding her back, kunal needs to find other ways of restraining her if he is scared that she might go overboard

that brings me to the point that why aren't abhinal noticing these changes in kuhu's behaviour after mish's arrival in rjv house, she has given plenty of hints now, its clear their issues are deep-rooted & from both sides

for kuhu its a repeat telecast of maheshwari house, abhinal are ignoring her pov & calling her childish, immature & asking her to not raise her stupid concerns

I cant believe abir is still stuck on his band-aid approach, after today's episode if he still doesnt take things seriously I am going to be so mad at him

also the tone which mishnal use with kuhu👎🏼vaise toh badi kuhuness ki baatein karte hain, when it comes to respecting her tab kahan jata hai inka kuhuness admiration!!

I would also love to hear about this from the horse's mouth! I remember a few years back I read an interview with a producer, I think. He had said that ITV has two kinds of stories -- pre-marital love story leading up to marriage and forced/arranged marriage story leading up to confession and (that favourite word of ITV patrons) consummation. For both, you try to put off the culmination points for as long as possible while constantly teasing that they will happen. That helped me understand ITV so much better at the time.

With this show, I am certain that they know exactly what they are doing. They could have chosen to write this show the way we choose to see it -- without moral absolutes -- but it has a very clear voice when it comes to who is "right" and who is "wrong." The TRP junta are looking for stories that sort of hit you over the head with things, where it doesn't really matter what happened 50 episodes ago, and I feel like that is what this aspect of the writing caters to. BUT it is layered over a much more interesting story which is never totally abandoned either. That's what I find fascinating.

@ bold: I also feel the same, that the writing & execution of this show is completely intentional from makers side

my understanding is that

a). they will never redeem & justify any character completely, so that as per the plot & requirement apart from leads they can turn them grey & play with their insecurities to take the leads story forward, whenever they want

b). they will keep the loose ends untied for the same reasons, thus not giving complete culmination & closure to the important tracks, like in baba's case, nannu's case(he might even make a comeback with revenge agenda if cvs run out of other ideas😈)

and I even understand it for this type of show which is not a finite series show & might run for years & thousands of episodes

infact I think the makers must be on clound nine, its like they have hit a jackpot, they are catering to varied audience, trp audience who love the family-drama, others who love the mishbir couple dynamics, their struggles, love, and then others who love kuku's, the modern, in-love young couple story, and then there are others like (all of us on this forum) who invest time to anlayse the dialogues, intentions, actions & thus try to grasp the underneath story & struggles of each character

no wonder the show is number 1 in online ratings & always in top10 or top5 in offline ratings too
