So I asked Kaveri once whether the writers are allowed to give an interview and she said I don't think so.. So probably we might not get one

Unfortunately kitchen politics rule the charts Ria

Wish Sam started writing for a web series. I'll follow it with full zeal 😛

Sam, we need you on the YRHPK creative team, NOW. Why can't we have a Sam writing this show?!?! Ugghhhh. This is why people need to start interviewing the creatives now. I really really need to know why they write what they write. Do they analyze each character as carefully as we do? Do they really play on the dynamics of these relationships as artfully as we think they do?

I would also love to hear about this from the horse's mouth! I remember a few years back I read an interview with a producer, I think. He had said that ITV has two kinds of stories -- pre-marital love story leading up to marriage and forced/arranged marriage story leading up to confession and (that favourite word of ITV patrons) consummation. For both, you try to put off the culmination points for as long as possible while constantly teasing that they will happen. That helped me understand ITV so much better at the time.

With this show, I am certain that they know exactly what they are doing. They could have chosen to write this show the way we choose to see it -- without moral absolutes -- but it has a very clear voice when it comes to who is "right" and who is "wrong." The TRP junta are looking for stories that sort of hit you over the head with things, where it doesn't really matter what happened 50 episodes ago, and I feel like that is what this aspect of the writing caters to. BUT it is layered over a much more interesting story which is never totally abandoned either. That's what I find fascinating.

1. SAME. I would say even including humma humma, because unlike what ITV would have you believe, sex doesn't have to be the culmination of a two souls uniting in perfect harmony. It can also just happen when two people find each other attractive and you know, want to do it. Kuhu and Kunal may have a lot to figure out about partnership and mutual understanding, but they have always been very attracted to each other and communicated through touch. I mean, who could forget that intense zipper scene? And who knows what would have happened if BM hadn't called Kuhu at that moment?

2. Yeah, Kunal has always been made to feel like he has something to prove. His birth truth exacerbated the feeling, but didn't introduce it. I am kind of in love with this newly protective Kuhu, taking on the world to shield her gullible pati from injustice.

I know! I know!! I know!!!

They were slowly going to look at each other in the mirror to see each other's expressions. They would have had an eye-lock like ITV couples usually do. Kunal would be mesmerized but Kuhu would suddenly remember the divorce paper thing. She would break the eye-lock, maybe say thank you. Kunal would come back to reality, say you're welcome. There would be awkward silence and Kuhu would break the silence by asking tum yahaan kya rahe ho? And he would tell her about his Bhai. She would divert saying that Mishti is getting ready, so how could she send the picture. Also, that he should leave so that Mishti could finish getting ready, because until that that happens, she won't be able to get that picture for his Bhai. He would fumble while saying ki maine bhai se promise kiya hai ki mai le kar aaunga picture so please jaldi karo and she would then nervously send him out and close the door behind him wondering what just happened but then she would remember what she was doing before he came along and get back to photoshopping. Kunal would just stand outside the door looking at his hand, remembering what all happened with a confused look on his face. Then, his Bhaiyopia would kick in and he would go back downstairs. Abir would ask him about the picture and there would be a cute scene where we see shy Nanko trying to cover up what actually happened when he went to fetch that picture for him.

The End of imagination

So this is one thing I totally agree with Kuhu on today. An NGO salary would not be able to cover an impromptu luxury resort stay, and they even confirmed that Kunal footed the bill. Kuhu's whole problem is that Mishti and Abir don't do nearly as much work or earn the money for this level of spending, so why should they enjoy the perks while Kunal has to drop his vacation in the middle to go and attend to business? If he's generous enough not to discriminate, and spends on everyone, the least they can do is show solidarity when he has to cut his fun short.

Meenu knows very well that the "solution" she offered to Mishti was unfair to Kunal and Kuhu, but that was exactly the plan. Mishti would be so over eager to nip any drama in the bud that she would take Meenu at face value while Kuhu would resent how cavalier Mishti was about the disproportionate burden on Kunal. As Abir said, she won because the sisters fell right into her trap.

I've tried everything but nothing seems to work for me except insta.

On a totally unrelated note, does anyone follow Tanmay Bhat's youtube channel? He's been my saving grace during lockdown.😆
