So what if he is a mental health patient .Are they allowed to kill people , manipulate people and abuse them .The real reason is Mishti considers Nannu as her friend so she is ready to forget and move on and not make it a big issue even if he tried to kill her husband. With Kuhu she has to settle scores so she is bringing this topic again and again and as always everything Mishti does is justified and regarded as morally correct

i didnt even understand that scene till now... when mishti said abir met with accident then the reactions of family are different and when nishtanth said i know abir car met with accident everyone reacted like they are hearing it for first time and even kuhu reacted when nishtant said and kuhu didnt even react when mishti said the same thing... till now except abir and nihstanth anyone dont know what happened and how that happened... abir dont want to say because he dont want mishti to loose her best friend but if abir says this to mishti she will definately believe abir....

as far as i see mishti saying about kuhu to abir is not because of EGO or SUPERIOR or kuhu should be called out... she is just warning abir from upcoming danger... if kuhu is not addressed properly it will be problem for all 4 of them...

even i cant blame abir too... because he only heard half truth of sisters, half truth of bro and holi video where these sisters said they love and care for each other... so abir dont even want to listen to mishti... this character is abir from start of the show... if he believes he believes blindly and he wont even listen to mishti and mishti knows that in some cases abir wont even listen to her... so she always make sure what to say abir and how to say abir... coming to kuhu abir himself known the truth so she want to discuss with abir and mishti knows kuhu well than abir and even i will say kuhu knows mishti well too than abir... so if mishti want to say something or except something from abir what is the problem? every married woman expects from husband and same goes with kuhu too... she dont want to know it to kunal because it will face problems in their relation so she dont want this to come out... but kuhu again did something which is not acceptable to any woman... she just did what she want to do in mishbir room in all senses and dont even have a guilt of it... kuhu angry is justified towards mishti but that doesnt mean she will detsroy her room and kuhu can talk it out like she did when mishti entered...

@BOLD: I completely agree with it. I don't think anyone is at fault, everyone is within their element but all the anger and conflict is a function of mismatched expectation, priorities, goals and timing.

Mishti does not want much. She just wants to be heard for the first time in her life even if her thoughts are less than mahaan. She is also hoping to be reassured that she is not a home breaker and there are others who are just as responsible for conflicts. In Mah house she always had to pick reaction expected out of her - be ideal daughter, do the right thing while keeping her frustrations and tears bottled up and forgive others. Mishti normally reacted by being passive aggressive, saying the right thing with a slight infliction of sarcasm. I don't think she she wants to show Kuhu down or it is an ego issue. She is troubled by the fact that her own sister wants her out of RJV house. Her sister continues to do stupid, hurtful, at times life threatening impulsive things trying to prove her superiority or get a reaction from her. Mishti is completely taken aback by how Kuhu's impulsiveness gets forgiven while she seems to be still held to some lofty ideal standards of behavior. When Kuhu broke frames, Mishti was shocked by the accusations that Kuhu hurled at her as Mishti herself did not know what Kunal was going to do. To top it off Kuhu broke frames of her precious memories. She was hurt and she complained to Abir. She expected Abir to hear her out, console her and accept that Kuhu made a mistake. He could have then assured Mishti to let it go in light of current drama but it was bad timing. Abir had just returned after a major tiff with Meenu and was drained. He was probably worried about his mother's reactions and Parul and was looking for Mishti's help/advice. Instead he gets a tearful wife who complains about broken frames and wants him to do something about Kuhu. That is last thing on his mind so he reacts badly which comes across as if he cares more about Kuhu than Mishti. He later decided to sleep outside to cool down which hurts Mishti even more. In someways he is doing the same thing he does when he is in conflict with Meenu- say rude things and walk away but Mishti is not Meenu.

Abir's goal is to maintain peace at home while ensuring that everyone gets their fair rights. He has stirred hornet's nest by encouraging Kunal to accept Parul. Suddenly everyone is Meenu's target. He is looking for Mishti's support and understanding but Mishti is stuck in her sisterly fight with Kuhu though in all fairness none of it is her fault or initiated by her. She also suddenly seems completely oblivious to Meenu's manipulation or her husband's challenge/feelings. It is interesting to me when Meenu pulled off the nautanki to act like Parul, everyone was busy manaofying her but Abir stood back looking disgusted by the whole drama. He then walked out and he expected Mishti to follow him. It would have been a great opportunity for them to have a heart to heart and someone as in tune with him as Mishti would have done that but that is not what happened. Mishti first tried to calm Meenu and then was more interested in figuring out who will take flask to Kunal. Abir's disappointment was obvious when he muttered he was upset because Mishti did not come and was dragging their fight from last night. I don't think he was upset at Mishti but rather at whole Meenu situation. He did not share his feelings with Kuhu about the situation as he would have shared with Mishti. Kuhu took his words at facevalue and added some more fuel to fire by complaining about Mishti .

The fight continues to escalate because Mishti sees everything Abir does with a perspective that he is priortizing Kuhu over her, She is concerned that Kuhu might really do something stupid enough to create a huge problem and pose a risk. Abir is looking at everything with the perspective that Mishti is stuck at her petty fights with Kuhu while they are headed for a bigger battle and Mishti is actually giving Meenu chances to create a problem. There needs to be a clear communication between them.

Mishti needs to understand Abir fought for her in his own way so there is no way he can priortize Kuhu over her. Also the relationship between Abir and Kuhu is delicate enough that Abir can protect Kuhu for Kunal but criticizing her is not within his rights . That is Kunal's rights. Also Abir considers Kuhu childish, his expectation from Kuhu is very different than what he has from his smart angry chorni. He forgives Kuhu not only because he is unaware of the whole truth but also because that is the only thing he can do without creating any more rift in the family. It is interesting to me that Abir has not once tried to actively ask or directly engage with Kuhu since his marriage on any issue, it has always been other way around. Mishti suddenly seems to be completely oblivious of the undercurrents in the household and her husband's worry. The property and business are going to become the reason for breaking the family and Kuhu is stupidly becoming a pawn in her obsession to please Meenu. If Mishti continues to engage with her at her level, she will become a pawn too. She needs to share what she wants from Abir-reassurance that she is and will remain the most important person to him and she is not responsible for any fights in the house.

Abir needs to understand Misti is unsure of her her place in RJV household more so when Kuhu takes every opportunity to encroach on her rights as elder daughter-in-law. He needs to understand what Kuhu is doing is childish but increasingly hard to ignore and become a part of? He needs to advise her how and why to ignore and why he is doing the same. He needs to let Mishti know that he is not unaware of what Kuhu is doing. Mishti is losing her confidence and for her to fight by his side, she needs to be reassured. He needs to let Mishti know while he understands why she chose to stay at RJV house and why she forgave Meenu but Meenu has not changed and she will target all of them again. He need to tell her why he expects more from her and how he needs her for the battle ahead.

Ofcourse ...a few days of marriage and everyday is filled with drama and fights...I am not sure that is both of them wished for when the started their life together after a long fight so a little romance would be appreciated. I also see an interesting parallel here to KuKu track- Mishti was unwittingly the underlying reason for the whole marital discord in KuKu marriage. Kunal was unwilling to forgive Mishti for her perceived rejection and move on. Kuhu is now unwittingly the reason of discord in Misbir relationship but the reason is that Abir is willing to forgive Kuhu for all her slights and move on.

I keep reading that Mishti was abused by Kuhu in Mah house. I don't agree with that. Mishti has let down Kuhu several times too though it was not not purpose. In first few episodes, Kuhu and Mishti were to perform together but instead Mishti in her pain forgot and ended up changing the performance on the stage leaving Kuhu looking like a fool. Mishti asked Kuhu to come to perform on Sufi night where Kuhu had hoped to impress Kunal, instead Mishti ended up singing with Abir making Kuhu look like a liar. She brought out Kuhu's birth secret on her Gordhana (I know Meenu manipulated her but think of Kuhu's emotions at that point). BTW Mishti gives as good as she gets from Kuhu, only her delivery is more mature and subtle.

Lastly the most interesting comment for me in last few episodes actually came from Kunal, when he seemed unsure of Kuhu's love for him. I had mentioned before that it is unclear to me if Kuhu really loved Kunal because she does not have taken time to think this through. Also I don't think she understands Kunal yet, if she did she would have understood her husband's dilemma instead she is busy rejecting Parul and sucking up to Meenu.

I had decided that I wasn't going to get into the war-zone situation because I've done it enough times now to know that it ends in only way and that is your mood getting spoilt.

I am sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings with the following lines but I have to say that this is so funny 😂😂😂.

You quoted such a big post and selected one paragraph out of the whole thing and said you agree with that part. Bhaisahab! Guts chahiye ye karne ke liye! Mujhse na ho paata! (Aag lagaane ke liye sorry🙈. I'mma run far!)

But now since someone has said it before me so I have to say that is the only part I agree with too. The post makes it sound like Abir sees Kuhu as some kid and maybe that was the intention with how things progressed from the Abir-Parul conversation but that is so not how he sees Kuhu. He has known Kuhu for a year now and it is not right to assume that this one incident would cancel out a year's worth of time spent knowing her. I got reminded of this yesterday with a post on the KuKu AT (quoted below).

There is a reason Kuhu has this saath-khoon-maaf status with Abir now -- she's seen these brothers and the entire family through their worst moments and managed Kunal when nobody else could. She held the family together despite being a major victim of its drama and I'm grateful that Abir isn't quick to forget that.

He may not know the exact ins and outs of what happened "fake" pati-patni ke beech, but he definitely has a good idea of Kuhu's contribution. When he was setting out to find baba, he entrusted her with taking care of the family in his place, and he saw how much effort she put into his birthday party so that the family could have one happy day. They had a few really beautiful conversations during that phase of the story. You can also tell he sees Kuhu's influence on Kunal the day of his GD when Kunal decorates his room and asks for a time out.

But most of all, for these brothers with their deep abandonment issues, the very fact that she stayed, through all the deception and drama, means more than anything else. She could have packed up and left at any time and been totally justified but every time she had that choice, she chose to stay and empathise instead. Keep in mind, this is something Abir himself couldn't manage to do, so I think he has immense respect for her for that.

Mishti and Abir see two very different people when they look at Kuhu, and both of them are right and wrong.

It makes me think more than doing the right think now it has become a ego issue for Mishti . She just wants to hurt Kuhu to get even . It’s definitely doesn’t do any good to the family or Kuhu if it’s brought out at this stage . Do you think if family knows Kuhu’s bitterness towards Mishti will reduce or the problem will be solved . This is what Abir is trying to tell Mishti which she is overlooking because of her ego .

Does Mishti ever realize that the whole wedding mantap drama happened because of her “I am the only one who can fix it “ attitude . If she hadn’t invaded Kuhu’s privacy then she would not have instigated Kuhu . It’s high time both sisters realize their petty fights will spoil the brothers relationship and Meenakshi will be proved right .

Yes, Abir has handled Kuhu in his own peaceful easy-peasy band-aid way, and yes, he has conveyed it to Mishti that he has handled it in his way.

But did he ever try to find out the WHY of What Kuhu did?

Would he had still treated the whole matter the same way if he had the knowledge that Kuhu's actual target was Mishti and she was hoping for Mishti to drink the spiked coffee?

What was Kuhu's takeaway from Abir's skillful handling? - if you ask me it was "AbirBro ko ullu-NA-banana mushkil hi nahin, namumkin hai" 😛

But in any case, why are we expecting Mishti to blindly abide by Abir? Just because he is the pati parmeshwar and so she should follow him no questions asked?

Abir has intimate knowledge of how Meenu works, so his decisions are based on that.

This was Abir's first brush with Kuhu's other side and he has no clue of all of it's unpleasant details, so the matter is done and dusted for him.

Mishti is not at the same vantage point as Abir as far as Meenu goes, but she has endured years of abuse from Kuhu (verbal and well, physical too that Mishti is partially aware of), which has now continued even in her sasural. Just because Mishti decided to not disclose it in the past, she should continue to do so because Abir says so?

And If she doesn't agree with Abir, it becomes her ego?

If we decide to not like the FL, no matter what it does, we will find faults with it... and I guess that's okay. To each their own.

I had mentioned before that it is unclear to me if Kuhu really loved Kunal because she does not have taken time to think this through. Also I don't think she understands Kunal yet, if she did she would have understood her husband's dilemma instead she is busy rejecting Parul and sucking up to Meenu.

Can I agree to everything 100 percent💯💯💯💯💯💯

Nobody is morally correct or mahaan in this show. Every one is acting according to their feelings or emotions.

And Mishti is no mahaan. She has ignored Kuhu by performing alone at the kutch festival and at the club. But, Kuhu do go overboard with her words which do classify as mental abuse. She could have fought with her or called out her actions at the precise moment which she always does .....but Mishti will always be in her pain and ignores Kuhu's frustration with her.

Honestly, both of them don't have the maturity do deal with each other.

I am the one who likes flawed leads but the only issue with ITV is leads flaws are not called out and are justified

All characters are flawed - just like how it is in real life.

Some way more than others.

Now it is fair to expect the two characters to be judged on the same scale, it is unfair to expect others to find flaws in the positive character by any possible means just so that it wipes out the other's negative points and make the two equal.

They say elephant in the room is hard to miss but heavy to lift

A lot of contrived logic and mental gymnastics are required to justify the negative/grey character and bring it to positive light. And it requires that plus a high degree of creativity to find non-existent flaws in everything that the positive character does or does not do so that it justifies the grey character.

So while the FL has flaws and contrary to what some may believe, she does get called out when she does something stupid, it is unfair to expect people to be that creative and invent flaws in her.

Yes, the leads are flawed and no one is denying that. But that doesn't mean we negate everything that the leads do or do not do so that their flaws become equal with that of the other character.

And while we are on the subject, want make it clear since I read this far too many times - not appreciating/liking the negative/grey character has got NOTHING to do with not liking anyone who doesn't worship the grounds the FL walks on - we are not that unintelligent or devoid of logic.

But it has everything to do with the way the other character bullies and abuses the FL and gets away with it every single time because no one holds her accountable! Now the FL enables it by not disclosing it to the family and that can be considered her flaw, but not wanting to put up with it anymore cannot be considered her flaw. It's her wish! #HerLifeHerRules

I hate the fact that my first post on this forum is in this war zone. I have been a silent reader here since the beginning of the show; from the first episode itself, to be precise. But I never posted anything before owing to my hectic schedule. Neither did I praise any character nor did I denigrate anyone. Nonetheless since I am free right now because of the current situation worldwide, I went through almost all posts. And I just can't contain my frustration anymore.

Let me clear it out beforehand that I'm a MishBir fan. I absolutely adore both Abir & Mishti individually as well as a couple. I like Kunal and I did like Kuhu too at some point of time. But my love for a character doesn't blind me towards their flaws; even if it is my favourites.

Now I can either write an essay supporting and justifying Mishti's actions or point out the fault in Kuhu's behaviour. But I don't think that it would make any difference. When people are downright unwilling to listen to someone else POV other than their own (just like Abir in the show currently ), it is pointless to talk to them. It would just be a waste of my time and energy.

But still I want to ask a question. When Mishti reacts to any unfair action of other characters, she is termed as egoistic or selfish. And when she doesn't react or tries to keep her calm in adverse situations, she is termed as self-righteous or 'Mahaan'. So what is she exactly supposed to do in such situations according to her critics? I'm genuinely unable to comprehend the double standards for this character. Can someone kindly enlighten me regarding the same?

No one has an answer to the question? Hmmm... Thought so. 🤔

Completely agree to everything you've written. Nothing more to add.

And Kudos to you for having the patience to explain your point again and again! It's really hard to talk to the walls. 😆 It can be infuriating when the other party completely blocks out any logic you want to say.
