Could other countries get away with it how China did? I feel if the world knew things earlier it and China took actions earlier the spread could have been lesser than what it is today.

Definitely. China massively f*cked up. If it was once I could still understand. Like Ebola. It happened, Africa learned. But goddamn,China. They learned nothing from SARS. They continued their weirdass SARS related animal eating. That's completely the government's fault. Infact, to call this an expected pandemic is not wrong. How do you explain eating the same weirdass animals which caused SARS.

China not only hid data information but also failed to inform other countries. All this cause of markets and trade. If with the first 100 cases, all borders and travel from other countries were sealed this could have never happened. But China feared the world's outrage, it's pride hurt because the world suddenly discovered it's lack of control over a virus after SARS humiliated them, and just pushed back doing what it should have.

And every other country took it lightly. It has months to prepare for it but the Chinese said they were handling it. More like supressing it. Killing their own and making critics disappear.

The Chinese government need to compensate to countries crumbling because of their utter stupidity. But the UN belongs to China and that's never happening.

India sorted out Nipah in a very short time with just 17 deaths. They informed WHO the moment they got to know in Kerala. Here Chinese decided to curb every single information. World shud take a lesson from this and should decrease dependence on China.

Lol in my place supplies will end from tomorrow and no more vegetables. Have to live on rice and daal if it continues. Everyone is buying months of supplies. 🤪

Bhai, by support I don't mean go there and help, social distancing is to be followed, but this sort of blaming, rumour-mongering, bullying the sufferer's grandkids at school? what is this behaviour damn. Just imagine the sorrow they know their loved one will die soon plus the fear of infection in the family, is it too much to expect that people be sympathetic to their situation and let them be instead of harassment and shaming 😳

Pray not 🙏 west is already happy to bash India no matter what.

They leave no opportunity already..

Yup. We have empathy and sympathy for cancer patients, terminally/chronically ill patients, HIV patients and that's all that's required in this case. Support doesn't mean hands on support. Say words of encouragement that one would recover or shut the hell up. To shame people for having a virus in their body, for having a disease they had no control over- that's next level inhuman.

The accounts of recovered patients clearly state how quarantine affects the mind to such a level that therapists are required. The mind is a powerful tool for survival. Hurting the mind would make the body weaker. People need words of support to recover. I feel horrible reading this.

India is way more responsible than China anyday. We maybe poor but we have 100x times more social and global responsibility than China.
