Because she's a dancer and not an actress.

Madhuri is barely a actress that's why. In Devdas, I found her acting unbearable. Was waiting for Ash to show up everytime she did her melodramatic 90s soap hamming, Aish definitely was the highlight of the movie. No wonder Ash is always mentioned first and sometimes the only one when Devdas is talked about.

among the super hamming of srk and totally lifeless plastic cringy acting of Aishwarya, Madhuri was the only one to look out for her performance and was a relief in that OTT Devdas filled with srk-aish annoying hamming throughout

In her 40 minutes' role in Devdas she ate Aish alive with her superlative performance, and also in face to face scene with Aishwarya as well...and the world knows how people only remember and cherish Madhuri's songs only from Devdas.

She was terrible in Dil To Pagal Hai. She played the lead opposite SRK but Karishma owned the film and even sidelined SRK. Madhuri played supporting in Devdas. It was great Mujras and all that but in the film Aishwarya overshadowed her. Infact it was the film which made Aishwarya a global star overnight. Madhuri again got sidelined.

Shocking was how Karishma totally sidelined Madhuri in Dil Toh Pagal Hai.

Was this entire post just for this? 😆Madhuri wasn't sidelined at all. She stole the show in Devdas infact! Infact she was the only one who got rave reviews in the main cast.

its not that I hate Aish or something like that, but she indeed is a terrible actress, even till date, shining examples r sarabjit and Jazba that were unbearable to watch mainly due to her fake acting & shrill cringy dialogue delivery, u simply cannot connect with her on screen at all.

And I think people don't even remember that despite having just 40 minutes' role, Madhuri's name appeared BEFORE Aishwayra in Devdas' opening credits..... this is a small glimpse of her stature, for the ignorants. :)

👍 Art is subjective so I'll beg to differ.

Madhuri is a legend and has seen immense popularity and stardom in her hey days..she is and will.always be remembered as one of the few female superstars who were even considered above the male leads of their movies..

IF can call her 'just a dancer' but she has awards, rewards, BO collections, audience love and her own performances to prove how fabulous she is
