SRK or Aamir Khan? - Page 3

Not fair to compare a hamming-king with a spectacular natural performer like Aamir.

Aamir proved himself in ALL genres of movies, while srk just TWO, that are his signature formulaic romantic films and a psychotic in his initial years.

Romance : Aamir won hands down with his EXCELLENT and TIMELESS romantic films qayamat se qayamat tak, hum hain rahi pyar kay, dil, rangeela, dil hai ke manta nahi...srk's formulaic syrupy films seems plastic in front of these charming romantic flicks of Aamir, and also his ott spreading the arms fake acting.

Psychotic & intense roles : Even here Aamir won...srk was a walking and talking example of hamming in darr, bazigar and raam jaane....while aamir was absolutely brilliant in similar role in earth-1947 and got special mention jury National award in a very intense dark role in just his second release Raakh.

Cop: Srk never had any cop movie, and looks very unsuitable/unfit to play a police waala..Aamir was superb in sarfarosh and utmost natural as a cop, film was a hit as well.

Action roles : Aamir once again proved himself as an ace in action roles as well in Ghulam & Ghajini...sadly srk was a major failure in action roles too.

Comedy: Srk massively failed at comedies... his hamming and ott anxious energy was unbearable in his failed comedies like duplicate, badshah etc ...Aamir's Ishq and especially Andaz apna apna are more than enough to prove what a spectacular comedian, as well, he is.

performances in dramatics/experimental movies/coming of age : Aamir has plenty of them... rang de basanti, taare zameen par, jo jeeta wohi sikandar, dhobi ghaat, dangal, lagaan, dch, 3 idiots etc ....srk just have one failed swades and one chak de....

Aamir is a TRUE PERFORMER and needs not to be insulted by comparing him with , as I said hamming-ka-king srk.

I think some folks confuse absence of hamming for great acting. 90% filmon mein hamming karke 2-4 filmon mein restrained raho and suddenly those become "great" performances 😉.

True that...After his initial couple of films, which actually paved way for his stardom, he stopped acting..And a couple of splash in the pans like CDI and Swades become great restrained performances automatically because these performances are basically being pitted against his own other usual hamfests!

If Ajay didn’t then why did he do films like Himmatwala. Action comedies worked for him so he signed a lot of them

Even Big B. Check his movies from late 80 especially Shahenshah

ll actors need to do all kind of films...sometimes one need to do masala genre as well, which ajay did..but the ratio of ajay having great films is way too high than just one himmatwala.

NOPE....Ajay is not dependent on action comedies... infect he was never known for his comedy films, and action films r his past in 90s...since last 20 years he delivered all kinds of amazing films with superb performances in them.

I said with time.....80's is way too early a decade for his career..he was known to be an angry young man, but evolved as a diverse great performer essayed multiple different complex roles since 2000's onwards.
