Aishwarya Rai more globally known than Alia. Is she more succesful heroine

I dont know what people being interested in someones life has to do with being successful at your career and being a top heroine. I mean most people are interested in Sunny Leone's life. Does that make her the top female star ??

But I guess the topic maker has different definition of stardom than me. I assumed were discussing hits and acclaim.

Because a top heroine is based on BO numbers and temporary success. It does not mean it will sustain. When I think of a peak, it means the heights of someones career. So, my point was to say that at her peak..the hype is less than what the hype was at for the likes of PC, deepika, katrina. The hype for them was more from the audience. A major give away is her coexisting, and not overshadowing them despite so much continuous success she has had. It is rare for a BW actress to have her trajectory. she is the most successful actress right now BO wise. Thats what the post was intended to ask/argue.

I don’t know cause for one imho is the top right now is Alia and she’s the consensus top. I don’t know if there was ever Time I’d say PC was a consensus too. Katrina either for that matter.

Ofcourse not but I feel it’s obvious that Alia has been given some of the best ones... She got Highway, 2 States, Humpty Sharma even after a terrible performance in SOTY for example

i feel that is still nothing compared to how earlier the likes of kareena..abhishek..esha kept on getting projects after projects despite more than 10 back to back flops..it is only getting highlighed for her now coz social media and nepotism discussion were not there back then..

That is true! Infact I actually feel like the likes of Esha Deol, Twinkle Khanna, Tushar Kapoor, Uday Chopra, Tanisha etc. (basically the old nepo squad lmao) were way worse than Alia, Ananya, etc. in looks, acting and pretty much everything.

But that said we don’t know how some of the old nepo squad would have fared given the opportunities the new ones (especially Alia) are being given again and again 🤷🏽‍♀️. Back then they were just expected to try to shine in pretty much the same kind of movies the non-nepos did.... so the comparison was easy and the more talented people won. But now Alia gets almost all the deep, heroine oriented scripts that look likely to be hits whereas others seem to get either the left over scraps she doesn’t want, or glam roles she can’t do.

Though on another note Kareena was always better than Esha, Abhishek etc. as well as Alia imo.
