Here the impact has been on dt level yet. So the panic hasn't gripped people .

People here are a weird mixture of panicky which is showing up in empty supermarket aisles and blasé in that whatever will happen will happen.

Major events have been thankfully cancelled here.

Almost all the cases in Canada have been linked to travel from Europe or cruise ships.

Things were normal in Calgary Canada until one of the daycares downtown had a baby that tested positive now we’re all like sheeeet. Babies are anyway disease carrying snot nosed little gremlins (लोल jk). But it’s true they lick everyone and everything sooooo since that news broke people have now started to panic.

My company has started to work from home and all traveling is immediately stopped unless deemed business critical. I have a trip next month scheduled as such. I’m NOT looking forward to it.

The amount of misinformation and mania around this virus is crazy. I see all these insta videos of people wearing masks — many of them half assed with the nostrils out of it. 🤦🏽‍♀️

My close friend is a nurse and she’s posting on her insta stories about how crazy it is that hospitals are running really low on crucial supplies like the N95 masks and sanitizers cause regular people in their misinformation have purchased crazy amounts. Not sure why medical supplies weren’t restricted but that’s a different debate. The nurses and medical teams need these to help keep themselves safe so they can give the proper care- more than all these celebs I see wearing them to travel.

To protect you need the N95 and P100 masks. However even those need to be thrown out almost every hour once there’s moisture in it. UGH 😩

I don’t agree with the over hype and use of hand sanitizers as I feel all that does is give a false sense of security. But there’s jerks selling sanitizers at $20-$30 a small bottle on kajiji.

Nothing beats washing your hands and just not touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth).

Sorry for the long damn post (but I’m usually know for bakchoding and my damn long posts).
