When babita shifted in haveli he never digest this and his ego hurt that was clearly visible.

My hate was due to court behaviour and than how he behave with meeta.he blamed every one but not wanted to accept he was also at fault.

Part 30

Mini has become normal after her meeting with Ashok Khurana. He continued to call Mini but she still find it difficult to talk to him normally like nothing happened in past. She still hasn’t moved on from past. Ashok Khurana kept calling Mini pestering her to talk when Neil noticed this he again had to intervene and talked to Ashok. Neil made him understand that he needs to take baby steps towards it. Mini is still uncomfortable from phone call so he may message her instead of calling. He understood and Mini was also feeling better this way so father daughter was now in touch through messages.

Preet’s wedding ceremony was scheduled to happen after 10 days. Mini was very busy. On one hand restaurant’s expansion plan was going on and she had an important photography summit coming up. She had to prepare for it also above all Preet was not leaving her even for a second. Sometimes for her shopping and sometimes for the ideas for the functions Preet needed Mini in everything. Mini was fed up after sometime from Preet’s tantrums but then she and Mickey were her best friends and she wanted to support them like they supported her and Neil. In between all this Mini was not even giving enough time to Neil. Neil was always so busy in restaurant and when he came home he couldn’t have Mini all to himself because either Preet was there or Mini will be at Preet’s place. He was getting irritated and was counting days for the wedding day when finally he will get to spend some quality time with Mini.

Soon Preet’s menhdi and haldi ceremony was over and the wedding day came. Mini was helping her in getting ready. “Toh Preet kaure, ab tu bata kaisa lag raha hai tujhe nervousness ho rahi hai ya excitement” teased Mini. “Mujhe to bahut ghabrahat ho rahi hai yaar….shadi se jyada shadi ke baad suhagraat ke bare mein soch kar” Preet confessed honestly. “Kya baat kar rahi hai…tujhe aur ghabrahat….tune aur mickey ne kuch chhoda bhi hai shadi ke baad ke liye?” Mini laughed at Preet. “Oye chup kar yaar…wo to na main yuhi bakwaas maarti rehti thi….maine aur mickey ne na kabhi limit cross nahi ki…aur aaj isliye mujhe ye soch soch kar nervousness ho rahi hai.” Replied Preet looking helplessly at Mini. Mini couldn’t control and started laughing hard, “Preet kaure…iska matlab wo jo tumhare sare kisse kahaniyan thi wo sab bakwas tha aur tujhe kuch bhi nahi pata hai….shakal dekh apni…..aisa lag raha hai abhi behosh ho jayegi” Mini said between her laughter. “Oye tu kaisi friend hai? Is waqt mera majaak bana rahi hai….tujhe to mujhe gyan dena chahiye ….kuch tips hi de de aur kuch nahi toh.” Preet asked hopefully. “Kyun ab samajh mein aaya koi tease karta hai to kaisa lagta hai” said Mini with mischievous smile. “Ok baba sorry ab toh help kar” Preet requested. “Ab main kya karu…..ab toh jo bhi karna hai Mickey hi karega tere sath” said Mini and laughed out loud. Preet hit her playfully and ran in room behind her. Mini was running in the room laughing when she suddenly experienced dizziness and was about to fall when Preet caught her, “Mini, sambhal kar yaar gir jaati abhi. Kya hua tu theek toh hai?” asked Preet worried for her friend. “Yes, I am fine. Tu tension mat le…wo subah se busy hoon na khana bhi nahi khaaya….I think weakness hogi.” Mini brushed it off.

Soon pandit ji called the bride in mandap and Mini brought Preet to the mandap hall. She watched as her best friends were getting married. Mini suddenly become emotional and before she knew her eyes become wet with happy tears. She didn’t understand what was happening with her since few days. She felt nauseated a few times. Then she was experiencing dizziness like it happened a few minutes ago in Preet’s room. She didn’t want to give tension to Preet so she lied its because of weakness. She was feeling extreme excitement sometimes then suddenly she was feeling emotional even on normal things like she is crying now for no reason. And she also felt so sleepy all the time. Mini decided to brush it off for now and went to search Neil. She was really tired and hungry. She decided to have some food with Neil. She saw Neil and Arya and started to walk in their direction when again felt dizziness and before she could understand she fell down. One elderly aunty caught her and helped her to sit down. “Are you ok my dear?” asked aunty. “Yes aunty thank you I am all right. I don’t know what happened to me…may be because of climate or weakness I don’t know….” Mini said but aunty stopped her in between as she looked her from top to bottom carefully. “Oye kudiye, aisi haalat mein akele kaha ghum rahi hai tere gharwale kaha hai aur tera pati tere sath kyu nahi hai?” asked aunty. “What are you saying aunty aisi haalat matlab?” asked Mini confused. “ Beta ji aapki tabiyat mausam ya kamjori se kharab nahi ho rahi. Aapke god bharne wali hai.” Said aunty as she lovingly put her hand on Mini’s head. “What!!! No no aunty you are getting this all wrong aisa kuch nahi hai” Mini clarified. “oye kudiye, saddi umar beet gayi jananiyo ke beech unke bachhe jante jante. Ye sab aspataal aur doctor to ab jaake aaye hain sadde pind vich usse pehle to hum mohalle ki bujurg auratein hi delivery karwati thi. Tumhe dekh ke hi bata sakti hoon nanha mehmaan aane wala hai isliye apna khayal rakho.” Aunty said and gave Mini a glass of water then went away as someone called her.

Mini stood rooted to her place as aunty’s word sunk in. “No, ye nahi ho sakta….kuch bhi bakwas kar rahi thi aunty. Inki ankhon mein kya sonography machine fit hai…..main to dekhte hi bata sakti hoon…badi aayi……ya ho sakta hai kya…..” Mini was busy in her thoughts when realization struck her. “Today’s date….OMG! my periods….I am late. Mini how could you do this…..how could you not remember and notice” Mini blamed herself but she knew she was hell busy these days that this thought didn’t even occur to her. Unconsciously she kept her hand on her stomach. She immediately removed her hand as she came into senses. “No, this cant be happening. I have to make sure” Mini thought and left the marriage hall. She directly came to Haveli in between stopping at medical shops to buy pregnancy test kits. She came to her room and threw her purse and accessories on the bed. She impatiently took out the pregnancy test kits and went to the bathroom.

“Hello Mini, where are you? I have been searching you everywhere here. Naeem bi, Biji also don’t know anything.” Said Neil into the phone. “I came back home.”Replied Mini as she felt her voice was choking. “Mini, why you went back home and you didn’t even tell me or anyone here….and Mini are you crying?” asked Neil worried now. “Neil, come here…I…” said Mini but couldn’t complete the sentence. Neil took Arya to Biji and Naeem bi and told them to bring Arya with them. He himself immediately went back home. By the way Mini was talking she seemed extremely tensed about something. He reached Haveli and rushed into their room where he found bathroom door was ajar. He entered there and found Mini was sitting on the floor looking worried. Neil sat down with her and cupped her face, “What happened love?” asked Neil seeing her so worried. “I am pregnant” said Mini as she held up the pregnancy test kit to him which displayed positive result. Neil kept looking at the test result and Mini. He felt like he lost his tongue. After sometime only meaningful word he could form was, “How” “How…you are asking me how Neil Oberoi….after months of doing it like crazy you are asking me how I got pregnant?” asked Mini in disbelief. Here she was getting all tensed up and this man is asking how babies are made. Is he even for real?

“Not that….I mean to say….how is it possible? I mean I am always careful about it. Apart from initial two three days of our marriage I cant remember anytime when we had it unprotected.” Explained Neil. This even attracted Mini’s attention as to how when this happened. They both sat in the bathroom racking their brains when it dawned upon them. “Delhi” both said at the same time and looked at each other. “Drunk night” both again said at the same time. Both closed their eyes in defeat. How could this be happening to them. Come on, it was just one fun drunk night, they both thought. couldnt they get lucky just for that one time.

“So you got your answer now, we did had sex that night.” Said Neil as a matter of factly and stood up from the bathroom floor and gave hand to Mini. "Ya answer with proof" said Mini as she stood up. “Are you sure? I mean I have heard these test can be misleading one should try different companies.” Said Neil as he find a ray of hope. “I already tested with five different companies. All are positive.” Replied Mini quashing his hope. Both of them stayed silent for some time then Mini said in frustration, “Its all because of you. I told you I will have birth control pills but you had to prove how sensitive you are…..No I will take care of it…..this is how you took care.”Said Mini pointing finger at him. Neil gasped at her not believing she just blamed it on him, “Really? You think its my fault. Well as far as I remember you tried to seduce me that night.” Neil replied back in his defense. “What do you expect? I was not in my senses I was drunk?” Mini retorted back. “Hey you were not the only one who was drunk. How could you expect from me to remember to use protection when I was drunk as skunk .” replied Neil irritated by the blame game. “I don’t know anything…ye sab tumhari wajah se hua hai bas.” Said Mini with her hands on her waist. “Of course ye meri wajah se hi hai but I am not at fault.” Said Neil as he stood on his ground.

“Neil Oberoi…you…” Mini came closer to him pointing her finger. She was about to trip over her sandal on the floor when Neil caught her protectively and made her sit on the bed, “Easy love…..see all this fighting is of no use now….kiski galti thi ….ye soch ke koi fayda nahi. Jo hona tha wo ho gaya. I am still of the opinion that we should get you checked properly by a gynaec before jumping to any conclusions. Lets first be sure about it.” said Neil as he tried to make some sense. “Ya I think you are right. Pehle check up karwana chahiye.” Mini agreed. She was fidgeting with her clothes continuously. Neil understood that she was nervous. He hugged her,“Calm down love, I know it happened suddenly and its scary but we will handle it. First thing in the morning we will visit gynaec. Till then please don’t stress your self. Mini just nodded in yes. Neil made her lie down on the bed and tried to put her to sleep. But neither Mini could sleep nor Neil. Both kept thinking what will happen if gynaec will also confirm the pregnancy. They had to take a decision. Both kept thinking what they wanted.

Next morning both of them got ready and went to the hospital. The doctor checked Mini and quashed their all doubts and hopes of false pregnancy alarms as she congratulated them for the good news. Both of them looked at each other and came back home with the reports. Both of them were silent during their journey. At home Neil broke the silence, “Mini, aise chup rehne se kuch nahi hoga. We have to decide something.” Said Neil as he hold her hands. “Ya, maine socha raat bhar iske bare mein aur main ek conclusion par pahuchi hoon” said Mini finally breaking her silent. “Really, maine bhi raat bhar socha aur kuch decide kiya hai….I Know its not going to be easy par…...” Said Neil and stopped in between. “One minute......kahi hum alag alag toh nahi soch rahe......Tumhara kya kehna hai?” asked Neil. “Nahi pehle tum batao tum kya chahte ho” asked Mini nervously. “Pehle tum” said Neil. “Nahi, pehle tum” said Mini. “Ok, dono ek sath bolte hain.” Concluded Neil as he counted one two three….

“Lets abort this baby.” Said Mini,

“Lets have this baby.” Said Neil at the same time.
