Not exactly top, but he did give super hits/hits. None of movies have stamp of good direction. His claim to fame still is the cheap comedy series Golmaal, then came action filled 3 Singhams (+Simmba) and Chennai express. Nothing extraordinary about this craft. VFX of flying cars, super hero beating 10-15 men while showing off acrobatics, where is his skill as director?

I feel, Rohit is pretty think skinned (unlike KJo).

He made his ambitious project Dilwale. It was not running as expected. He had to give an interview ( I think with Anupama Chopra). He had taken it in a sportive way. He said, his family have watched BM already and he is yet to watch. He wished good luck to BM team. He said, he will look forward to work with Ranveer (& he did.

Just to say, that man does not seem to carry grudges. I never felt, he takes himself too seriously (from his interviews). I feel, something has been missing in the report.

I was willing to give Rohit the benefit of the doubt until i saw posts mentioning how he unfollowed her after this fiasco .. I thought that move confirmed his guilt and fragile male ego .. But if that isn't true then everything is blown out of proportion for no reason .. Everything adds up to mere "conspiracy theories" and nothing more ..

Disappointed that she had to clarify. She is very diplomatic and sweet but there is a limit to it. This is exactly why the metoo didn’t work in India. Why so afraid to admit that what Jerk Shitty said was horrible? There is no need to keep friendship with such people. 🤢

For practical reasons. Movie goes down, she goes down.

For friendship reasons, Akshay, Ranveer are her buds. Why put them in an awkward position?

For her sanity, you know my girl hates dissension. Danm her gentle soul!

Lastly, BW is a cesspool. There are too many gray areas for even the intellectuals to mess with. Men stand for men, women stand for men. Reserved judgments, no big deals... Why buck the trend?

You are right. Being practical makes sense. May be Akshay asked her to clarify, since it's his movie. Keeping up the friendship with Akshay and even Ranveer is more important than fighting with Rohit Shetty publicly. She can extract her revenge in her own sweet way. She has lots of friends in BW, who supported her when her beauty products were launched and they can help rebuke Shetty.

I have admired her silence when other actresses talked ill about her. So expected the same now.

But yeah she can choose her battles wisely.
