i disagree..kareena's craze was on a whole other level in 2007 after JWM..she was all over..i have never seen deepika leave that kinda impact with any role..the way geet did..people started dressing like her..it was a universal craze..we may now blur that coz that was years ago plus no social media..but kareena's peak in 2007 is >>> deepika's in 2013

Our definitions are different. She may be a superstar-actress in your definition. But to me I dont classify because I find others better than her. You take away her content..She doesnt have any thing that will make me go watch her instead of someone more talented than her besides her films. A superstar is someone who has an intangible quality about them besides acting.

She's average in comarison overall. the standards have decreased with her. she's not versatile. and kalank type film is a prime example of what she is incapable of portraying. She's acts pretty similar in all her films. one note. So comparing her talent to actresses like priyanka who was attractive and could pull off a glamerous avatar while also doing every type of role brilliantly from mary kom to fashion to aitraaz is mehh. You can compare the whole BO pull thing but the superstar actress standards are gone now days. thanks to nepotism

Deepika was also not a worthy number one with her rehearsed dialogue delivery and weak acting skills. (apart from a few movies..eg tamasha, cocktail etc)

There's no proper definition of versatility. It varies to person to person.

I don't see any similarity in her acting style in a commercial role like Tia in K&S with the way she acted in Udta Punjab.

Just because she failed in period genre that doesn't make her less off an actor. It's ironical to see that reach coming from someone who is pro-DP who has been the worst SLB heroine so far.

PC has her weakness in comedy and I can't imagine her in cutesy type role either that doesn't mean PC isn't versatile. lol.

I dont think she is a versatile actress IN COMPARISON to others. Most of the roles she does she doesnt suit, and ends up just passing by just because the film is good in conent. She would never be my first choice for half of the roles she does except the dulhania series.

PC can be cute, hot, as well as act her pants off. Thats versatality. Plus she has an aura. PC has had a string of flops in her career. Just because you are hitting it out at the Ball park BO wise, doesnt mean you are hitting it out of the ball park versatality/performance wise. Alia's films are stronger than her talent or aura/appeal, and I really think this. Those who maintain stardom over years dont need constant success to have star value. She has never maintained popularity over an unsuccessful period esp. during the initial time frame of starting out, so to say she has stardom and to compare her stardom to the likes of priyanka/deepika who have done so is insulting.

It’s only recently Kareena started acting good?

The turning point of her career was Chameli in 2004 - after that she gave many strong performances.

She may have benefited from nepotism but she certainly didn’t arm twist the audience to accept her. She only has 1 main Best actress award in Filmfare and Alu has 3 lol....
