All the previous number 1s...lets go back to the 80s shall we...they made their own place and worked super hard to reach that position. Sridevi, Madhuri, Karishma...to Kareena, Katrina, Deepika...these women have hustled. Even Kareena did not get tailor made films on a platter like Alia did. She did some terrible films like MPKDH and Khushi.

But she had that X factor that special something. They all did. Star kid or outsider, they slogged their asses off to get where they were. If any of them got even half the support that Alia has gotten from an A List producer, they would've spent an even bigger time ruling the industry. They had their individual identities and no one was trying to be/act like the previous number 1. Alia is a wannabe Deepika.

I have my bets on Kiara...she surprised me with her comic timing in Good Newwz, can be both hot and cute, dances well and is pretty...my other bet is on Tara but a talent like hers deserves a global platform.

The next time we have someone in the industry who's hustled and has legit worked super hard and shines, is gonna be Number 1. Until then the position will be empty.

I don’t think Tara and Kiara will click with audiences. They don’t have star appeal or that larger than life image.

Lots of other hardworking actresses that were at the top who you didn’t mention - Rani, Ash even Preity had a very big fan following.

yes but did any of them including kajol reach where Madhuri Dixit did ??? Some people say Deepika and maybe she did. I would sure say Deepika is most popular/successful actress who debuted post 2000.

more than Kareena? Deepika is undoubtedly the queen of social media. Biggest fanfollowing however I do feel Kareena has/had bigger impact in ground level.

Madhuri is overrated. She’s only famous for chest thumping.

Ofcourse her and Sri were on another level. But I wouldn’t discount some other ladies who were right up there p

ehh No. dimples on her cheek or not..I am sorry but from a physical point of view, shallow or not, she doent look like a conventional glamerous, actress. you can tell she has been groomed. not just her looks, her entire career, the way Karan would push her presence everywhere he went. She is successful based on her films and what not..but she is where she is because she has been helped A LOT.

Deepika may not be the most talented person out there. But she exudes a lot of stardom generally, has an aura. I am sorry but you can bash her all you want..but she has it. and even if she had prior help in her career...it wasnt so much..she was still competing with others fairly and her jouney was natural. She was never pushed and no one cared to see her truly successful besides herself which is why she is considered self made.

I absolutely think these two actresses cant be compared. They didnt start in the same place...did not have a similar journey...nor will they end in the same place.

Alia has fanfollowing among all age group of people. She'll become the undisputed no.1 by next year if all her movies clicks with the audience.

She's the best superstar-actress we've had in a long time since PC.

gosh you cant compare her to PC. superstar-actress has the word superstar in. She is a good actress. But superstar-and relating her to PC. NO.

With shraddhas looks and alias acting--there's your superstar actress.

You know how I can tell this? In that video she did for angrezi medium..she did not stand out. Now if she could stand out from the rest of those girls in the industry then I would say she is. But she doesnt. thats how you know that there is some one better than her.

I like Kareena more. An going by Chappak and good Newz Kareena at the moment might be more successful. But going by their peaks I’d say it was deepika. Her 2013 was something in another level. Sadly Kareena never matched it.

I did not compare her to PC. PC is obviously way superior than her as an actress. I meant she's the best actress we have had since with great acting skills & box office pull. Having conventional beauty doesn't make you a superstar only. Even PC was never considered one.

Alia delivers both in terms of performance and box office numbers which is the combination of a superstar-actress.

Don't come up with Kalank to deny her star power even previous generations female stars had given big flops even in their prime years.

Better in what? it's her body frame and facial structure which she can't change just because she appears tiny in size compared to others she can't be a superstar-actress?

No I didn't meant that. Obviously Kareena never had 3 big hits in the same year like Deepika had. But talking about over-all impact on the people who aren't social media friendly. It might because she came before DP that could be the reason but when I ask people whp they prefer or like more outside SM, most of the times I've come across people who choose Kareena over Deepika. I'm not generalizing. Maybe in yours or others circles DP is liked more than Bebo.

Alia is a wannabe but definitely not worthy
