He’s just being tactful and trying not to offend any nepos which I feel most of us would do in that situation tbh...
Anyway it’s also true to some extent- the really terrible ones like Esha Deol, Twinkle Khanna etc did fail in the end... although ofcourse after taking several opportunities from many deserving actors 😕.
Chalo griha pravesh ho gaya Dharma mein.
I disagree with him . As he said all the successful star kids are talented but they got the platform to show their talent without any hardships compared to an outsider. Take the case of any actors from outside the industry , just one flop film will question their star power while even the trade sites will hype the starpower of the star kid especially when they deliver 1 or 2 successful films and the whole industry will tweet , support and praise the average of the star kid.

100%.
I always say people can spend their money however they want and can hire whoever they feel like. But this is unnecessary as*kissing of star kids.
Star kids become successful because there is an entire ecosystem built around them. For example, someone like Hrithik has a producer dad who knows what works with the masses and what doesn't. He is immediately given a big budget film built around him as the star and everything is catered in the way required. They already have the budget for major PR activities and can start bombarding the media about being the next Amitabh, next SRK, next whatever. If that fails, another comeback is ready for them. They can give 10 flops in a row and big directors and producers are still there to pick up the pieces.
An outsider has to start with TV shows or supporting roles or B-grade movies made with low budgets. Guess what? It's really hard to shine in those kind of projects. It's difficult to get noticed and if it flops, you're finished. It takes years to get taken seriously.
If it's a 500 meter race, outsiders start at zero and star kids start at 499. If they get to 500, then chamchas start saying they may be star kids bUt TheY aRE sO TAleNted.

Tahira is living the life Mira wanted.
People thought Mira was annoying but Tahira has crossed her by miles. She is everywhere. She gives Ted Talks, holds panel discussions with directors and producers, gives a million interviews, goes on the promotion circuit with Ayushman and god knows what else.
Mira just gets pap pics taken and she has reduced that by a lot too.

But there were many news regarding the compromises they made to get roles in films and the hardships including this .
