A Start of a Journey
Anirudh did not know what to feel since he made the decision to marry the little girl. Happiness but is it happiness, when he sacrificed all his dreams for a stranger. But on the other hand he could not stand to see an innocent child, whose only fault is an old bridegroom, to be burned alongside the body. Looking behind, he saw her eyes closed, a smile present on her lips. He wants to wake her up, but what does he call her, he forgot? Bondu,Bondi.
What a person he is? Cannot even remember his bride’s name. Hearing someone call his name, he looks up to see the driver beckon him to go inside. He opens the door and steps outside the car. Seeing her sleep peacefully, he could not find the heart to wake her up.
Stepping inside the house, his gaze shifts to his family members. Anger was the dominant emotion reflected in all of their expressions. As he walks towards them, the one question he asked himself “Did he regret his action?”. And the answer he knew was No. He did not regret taking the step the save that girl’s life. Even if it meant sacrificing all of his dreams, his love Saudamini.
As he reaches, his Baba and his Kaka, his Baba raises his hand to slap him but Kaka holds Baba’s hand. Baba looks shocked but Kaka shakes his head. Putting the hand down, Kaka asked “Anirudh, hua kya that jise tum itni bada kadam legaye?”. Anirudh heaved a sign of relief, and said everything that happened. Everyone listens and there was a silence after he finished. Kaka heaves a sign and said “Theek hai, jo hua so hua. Bahadur,Driver se bolna gadi tayar rakhe. Uss ladki ko vahi jagah par chodna hai jahanse aayi. Aur uske Mama se bolna ke Sati parapara ko kal pura kare.”
Anirudh’s head shot up hearing this, his expression horrified. Anirudh said “Yeh app kya keh rahe Kaka?”. Kaka looks at him, with disbelief in his expression and said “Kya mai Kya keh raha hu Anirudh. Who ladki ek widowa hai. Uska apni pati ke saath jalna hi uchit hai. Tumne jo kiya so kiya Anirudh, lekin kal puja rakh kar hum tum shudhikaran bhi kar sakte hai.”
Anirudh felt that same wave of anger course through him, what he felt at that moment when he made thatdecision. He said “Bahadur, Driver se bolna ghadi park kare. Who ladki yahan se kahi nahi jayengi. Aur Kaka agar aap is Sati pratha ko maante hai, toh uss ladki ke saath mujhe bhi jhelne ka adhikar hai kyuki who meri patni hai.”
Baba’s expression became red with anger. He said “Are you mad Anirudh? Tum ek 8-9 saal ki bachi ko apni patni ka darja de rahe ho. Tum jaante bhi iska anjaam kya hoga tumhare liye.” Anirudh said “Jab aap, uss 8-9 saal ki bachi ko Sati Parampara nibhane ke layek samajhte ho, toh phir who meri patni hone ke layak kyu nahi ho sakti.”
Kaka screamed “Who ek widowa hai.”Anirudh calmly shook his head and said “Nahi, who meri patni aur is ghar ki badi bahu hai.” Kaka said “Anirudh meri baat kaan khol kar sun lo, mai uss ladki ko iss ghar me ek kadam rakhne nahi dunga.”
Before Anirudh could say anything, a tinkling sound echoes through the halls. The sound seemed similar to payals, and before Anirudh could turn and see who has come, he heard a voice said “Mera ghar pravesh nahi hoga kya?”. Turning, and showing his family members who he married, he sees his bride for the first time with clarity. His bride had already taken 5 footsteps into the house, and she looks at them curiously. But for Anirudh, he somewhere could see the fire of curiosity in the eyes, the boldness in the manner she looks at them, just curious with no traces of fear present. Impatient at no reply, his bride walks straight towards them,no signs of hesitation in her footsteps. She stops when she stand exactly at his side of him like a partner does. She looks curiously at Kaka and Baba and said “Aap dono mere Sasur toh nahi ho. Aap kon ho?”. By then, Anirudh felt a small hand slip into his and he instinctively folded around it supporting the hand.Looking down, he sees that it is his bride’s hand in his.
Kaka looks at the joined hands and his expression conveys the rising level of his blood pressure. Kaka said “Ladki, chod uska haath. Tumhe haq nahi hai uska haath pakdne ki.” Anirudh sees his bride’s expression becoming confused, her tiny brows coming together in a frown, confused on what’s happening around her. But she did not take her hand from his. She looks at Kaka, her eyes conveying her frustration as she said “Kyu chodu, Pati hai ye mere. Aur Ma kehti hai, ki Pati ka haath kabhi chodna nahi chahiye and Patni ka hi haq hai ki who Pati ka haath Pakde.” Then she looks at him, trust conveyed in her expression and searching for something in his.
Anirudh doesn’t know what he feels but he knows that he cannot let her trust break. He looks at Kaka and Baba and said “Aapne suna usne kya kaha. Patni hai yeh mere. Aur Pati hu meiska. Hum dono ko haq hai ek dusre ka haq pakdne ke liye.”
And even seeing the thunderous expressions on their face, Anirudh could not help but feel a hope for the first time, that maybe he is on the right path after all.
So, this my first time writing regarding this serial and well it is based on the precap. Depending on the responses, I might turn it into an ff but still depends on the responses. Its not going to be romantic. I am more interested in exploring the mentor-mentee relationship so the FF will be based on that. Do comment and tell me if you are interested in this type of FF.
