I wonder if this childhood back story of mini was planned from start and was to be shown in between which did not happen in season 1. Mini growing up earlier than usual, mini seeing her own mother as someone who needed protection and standing up for herself and her mother, I find this a very logical backstory for the way mini looked at babita.

Also in the manmeet case its HS who mini opened up to not babita. HS whom she had met only few months back a Male instead of her own mother a female. Generally a daughter will share such things with her mother as it is easier. Mini at that time thought babita will not understand her. Was it because of this past.

I actually totally see babita of ks house that too some 7 years back when mini herself was 7-8 yrs old being even more worried about what people will say and would have asked mini to keep quiet. Mini was not even grown up to make her chane her thinking.

Its not worth it and for once the new fans of S2, need to watch PB from the beginning to see how a beautiful Show was butchered for 1 Actor.

Do you realize that you have completely lost your mind over a teenager and a show ? Or you prefer to live in self denial? If it's so hard for you to move on in life and you can't help writing repetitive paragraphs about a teenager and a fictional character, you need to do something about it. Perhaps make appointment with a psychiatrist ?

If you're done with the serial, why are you still watching it ? You hate ashnoor/minnie, why are you watching it ? All the other haters of Minnie have stopped watching the show. You're wasting approximately 20 minutes of a day watching a person you detest. Wouldn't it be more prudent of you to let go of your grudge against a teenager who doesn't even know that you exist and do something that you don't hate doing instead?

U echoed my thought.

The way they gave justification for every thing,it surely seems preplanned.

They even gave reasons for mini's anger issues.Why she was always ready to fight.

also why she can't open up,why she can't cry.

I remember some people bashing her in s1 coz she always smiled gulping her tears.and some logical people pointing that out as a serious mental issue.

After yesterday epi,i remembered every instance where babes had stood up. And everytime she needed a push,she never did it by herself.

Even the actress said how her character is never growing out of log kya kahenge.

So,though it was shocker,It's not unbelievable

I also wonder this. Contrary to what most people (even myself until I rewatched the first few episodes on YouTube) this story was never about a women’s emancipation, it was always about the situation through minis eyes. In the first episode it was mini who introduced us to her life and the people in her life including her babes.

I would have loved if they did this storyline while babita was still in the show. We’ve seen the effect that abuse has on the one that’s abused (mini) and how even years later something can trigger the painful memories. I would have loved to have seen it from babita’s point of view showing why she reacted like she did. As much as it broke mini when babes said “be quiet” it would have also broke babita and it couldn’t have been easy so it would have been nice to see how a mother can live with herself and reason not doing anything about her child complaining about abuse. Parents are meant to protect their children and no parent will want to be in a position where they have to ignore something like abuse. Babita would have wanted it to be kept quiet to keep the peace and not cause any problems - she was a woman living without the support of her husband in her in laws house so didn’t have much of a choice. And judging by dadus reaction would they even have believed her if babita did tell them? Or would they say (just like yesterday) that mini is making it up? Babita being quiet about it naturally lead to some resentment by mini even though she loved her mother but it can’t have been easy for babita either being powerless to do anything after knowing what happened to her one and only child.

I don't understand why ppl are thinking that Babita character is assasined or butchered.... She was always like that log kya kahenge type.... In manmeet fiasco also she did fir after HS sunoafied even against kukreja also... Babita humesha aisi HI thi... Don't forget it was Minni who got her out Khurana house agar Minni nahi lati to babita kabhi nahi aati...

Minni ka behavior was justified Now... When khatri tried to molest babita and manmeet fiasco when she was framed as guilty.... Her anger and frustration are justified Now...

i wish they had bought this up in season 1 only during that manmeet case.

i always felt a lack of balance in babita - mini relation. with mini never trusting her mother enough to be strong. even after marriage where babita was taking decisions haphazardly she was still thinking on the lines that babes is weak. I and my mother too share a similar bond where after i became a bit older i have pushed her to fight for herself and her self respect but ive never needed to mother my own mother. i dont see her as someone weak like mini did. I used to always wonder why mini keeps doing my babes is weak my babes is bholi all the time. the lack of trust she had with babita taking decicions for herself and mini. i never saw babita as too bholi. And i now know why babita did nothing to punish khatri

Bold- I also didn’t realise it until a month or two ago where I saw the first 7 episodes on YouTube and I watched it again. I don’t know how I didn’t realise it before because I watched it from the first episode when it began. I always thought this was a show about showing how a married woman gets emancipation after divorce, just like everyone else thought. I also thought that halfway thru the serial they decided to shift the change onto mini, but I began doubting myself when I watched it again because it seemed always about minis perspective of the situation.

I think you may have a point about how and why mini treated her mother the way she did. It’s either that or they just tied everything in really well to fit in with stuff that mini has said about babes in s1. agree about the babita khatri thing and if mini didn’t save her in time she would have probably just stood there shaking until he abused her and wouldn’t then even have charged him

I’m also thinking minis aggressiveness, anger and how brash she was while growing up now makes sense, even though she grew up in a house where everyone spoiled her. When a kid is raped or abused they end up with anger issues, aggression and go through different stages of being rebellious and not listening to the adults around them.

I would have personally loved it if they had covered this issue in season 1 (I believe the original plan was this mini's childhood abuse was to be brought up) with mini confronting babita, by doing so mini would have had a final closure also would have loved to listen babita's side reason to keep quiet and HS's reaction as well. I'm happy that finally mini has someone who listens to her (Neil) believes her, the little respect I had for dadu and beejihas gone I just can't bring myself to forgive him despite his apology.

I'm actually looking forward to how they deal with this track.
