First, Ranbir's critics still bring up Besharam ,Bombay Velvet and Roy , agreed he botched up his stardom a little or more by doing these movies but all of them got good opening -- it is the content that failed.. These movies were not well perceived and anticipated by the audiences.
Second, the criticism of man-child. I think he played man-child in only 2 films-- Wake Up Sid and Tamasha. Scratch the surface, and all other characters were totally different from each other, with different contexts, motivations, and attitudes.
Ranbir is a gem, and totally the best product of nepotism. He plays each part to perfection, and never rests on his laurels. In an industry where he could have turned out complacent like Kareena, brat like Sonam or lazy like Arjun, he is someone who never takes his audience for granted.
I consider him the finest actor-star we have, and don't think anyone can overtake him anytime soon. A great combination of acting and stardom, perhaps the best after Aamir Khan.
Do you guys agree?
