I really like the way you view their relationship and it's definitely much more flattering. You might be right about the big picture but I think Parul doesn't view herself as the somewhat empowered figure. Maybe that's what BB wanted. She wanted someone to hold down the fort but also be submissive to her demands. Oh so patriarchal Meenu ben! (It felt like I just described Parul as a nanny or actually like most Indian men treat their wives. Damn, that's sad! The nanny thing wasn't intensional but let's go with it as a 3rd perspective. The other 2 are coming up.)

From where I am standing after reading your POV and DQ's analysis as well as what we've seen in the show, I see 2 realities.

For Meenu, I think you are right to think that there was an agreement between the two and Parul has crossed the line quite a few times be it for Kunal or Abir. I can completely see the breadwinner-homemaker perspective fitting here with the agreement being the basis of their relationship. Also, I do feel that there was a motive behind this arrangement. If she would have left Parul to fend for herself, she would have always been scared of either the rise of the biological mother or her being manipulated by Mehul and somehow the truth of her marriage would have come out in the society. She already had one sword hanging over her head by not knowing Mehul's whereabouts and plans. She couldn't afford another one. With her giving Parul a place in her home, she gets to have some control that source of information. She knows Parul in and out now and in my head, if that happened, Meenu is a much more manipulative person than we've given her credit for.

The second reality that I see is Parul's. From the dialogues she has had, it seems like she sees herself as the queen's maid. The only movie reference I can think of right now is Jodhaa-Akbar. She is the the right hand, the sole confidante and the support system for Meenu like the daasis used to be in earlier times.

I would love to all you guys' thoughts on my theory but I think @Ria is going to tell us to move back to KuKu in a bit😬 (which I am 100% going to because I have seen today's episode and I am excited!!!) Sorry Ria! Just let us know when we should stop. It's just that after discussing KuKu with full fervor, all of us move to the story and then other characters come in.

@bold Lol not at all, even though the intention behind this AT was to show our love to KuKu I dont mind discussions about the storyline or other characters. Infact @sam I really like how she depicted both what Mishti is heading towards and what Kuhu is heading towards. They both seek different kind of acceptance from the elders of the house. And I really appreciate all the comments everyone posts here. It was just getting too much of Mishti and Kuhu and I didnt want this topic to become another debate thread.

Hey Aqua.. I was travelling but following this thread. I am not very adept at courtesan terms. I do look at parul as a slave in the same way I look at patriarchal wives as slaves too. Nowhere but ghar sansaar to turn to. Very little control important life decisions for self or children. However they are able to shape the children's nature day to day.

Was bigben wrong in treating her like that? Ofcourse. Nothing bigben does is kosher. I just like to analyse why she does what she does.

Finally, I am moving on to today's episode. I'm going to talk about their separate scenes before I lose my cool. #TooHot😋

Before you go forward, imagine the italics text in Amitabh Bachchan's voice in KBC because that's the feel I want to create. Also, imagine it getting high pitch with excitement to the point that it doesn't resemble him at all when you reach KuKu.🤪

Kuhu:

Ab chalte hai humaare pehle padhaav pe. Onward to MishKu town!

I loved that scene. It was so sincere on both their parts. Mishti finally behaved like a sensible person and talked directly to Kuhu and Kuhu finally decided to listen and interact rather than focusing on Jasmeet's nonsense. I'm so glad they've called ceasefire because it let me enjoy today's episode. Hopefully, their sensibilities will remain intact during the constant bombardment of negativity from Jasmeet and Meenu.

Doosra padhaav! Chachi 420: the failed Tana-sen edition.

Kuhu is finally in a better headspace and this badle ki aag me bhunti hui chachi is no match for the actual Kuhuness (actual because in between, Kuhuness had become a word which she used whenever she wanted to hide her real emotions. Let's called that emotion #fakuness just to differentiate). Ab jasmeet ke baare me baat hui hai to uske madaari ke baare me bhi kar lete hai. Pakka ek hi line bolungi Meenu ke baare me because I've already talked about her in pehle ke posts. Meenu is basically Male ego personified. Make of that what you will.

Kunal:

Teesra padhav hai MishBirNal ke naam.

Kunal is genuinely making efforts for Kuhu with MishBir's help. Pehle, he was just trying to mend his relationship with Mishti for his Bhai but actual bonding agent to Kuhu hai. Jaane anjaane me devar bhabhi ko close laa rahi hai. Special mention to Abir for the rambling thoughts. That was cute. But seriously, bohot shayari ho gayi yaar.

KuKu:

Chautha padhaav hai family ke saamne nikla #RomanticRajvansh

Bhai ko finally kuch mila hai to Kuhu ko bhi to milna chahiye. He couldn't take her eyes off of her🙈. Then taking away Abir so that he could plan a surprise for her. Best part was when he said "Mai bhi busy hu"🤣

I'm already melting just thinking back to the scenes!! Ye dono kuch bhi karte hai aur wo automatically cute ho jaata hai.

The way Kunal said, "Too hot". Hayeeee!!! I died right then and there. Ritvik's expressions were just perfect!!😵

Uff!! The blushing match!!☺️ Ek din me ladka g..g..gift se itna confident ho gaya. Kunal is growing at some super speed or what! The blushing is your wishful thinking, Kunal!😆 But overachiever Kunal ne ek teer se do nishaane maar diye. Biwi ko to blush karaaya hi aur khud bhi blush karne lag gaya. The nervous stumbling, the covering up with the "Couch ke saath jung ho jaati", The "maaro mat" and biwi se pitne waala #BadHusband, inn dono ne to mujhe hi maar daala☺️

I miss the suits too but I like his Kurta looks as well. Ritvik looked really good in the picture he posted on his story of the upcoming kurta look. Sach batau to I didn't even know there were so many styles possible in Kurtas for guys. This show is educating me in men's ethnic fashion too.😆

It is!! They used it on the show too!! When I was watching the episode, I was taken aback. I was like, there's a Pihu but then it turned out to be Kuhu. Then I was like, "Yeah! That makes more sense because itne episodes me to Kuhu hi tha".

Loved today's episodes. Today, I watched the whole episode after ages without skipping any scenes.

I am so glad that Kuhu is not going to be shown negative just to create some drama and for some illogical reason. When Mishti explained everything to Kuhu, she easily understood her POV. Kuhu is a simple soul who just wants some love and affection. And from today's episode, it is clear that her focus is on Kunal and having a peaceful n happy life with him. I hope that aspect is kept intact, even throughout the misunderstanding and problems that Meenu will inevitably create.

And coming to today's scene, how old is Mr. Sportscar? Isn't he in his Mid 20s? How can he be so naive when it comes to romantic stuff. 😮😂

The way he was saying he was so happy to get his bed back was hilarious. (Shouldn't he be saying he is happy to get Kuhu back instead of the bed?? ) 😂😂. Just for that comment alone, he deserved more pillow smacking from Kuhu.

And how can he not know people will assume something else from the way he was shouting ( And especially in their first night). 😂😂 I am loving this bhola Kunal so much. ❤️❤️

I hope this pure and innocent side of KuKu relationship never changes no matter what life throws at them.

Now, I am waiting for tomorrow's scenes. I know they will not go out on a drive in the red sports car that Kuhu ordered but hopefully, we will get some sweet scenes. ❤️

And also, am I the only one who is waiting for Kunal's apology to Kuhu? Writers please give them some meaningful and deep conversations. even a one minute conversation will do it for me but please make them talk more about their feelings.

I could go on and on about women stuck in a patriarchal setup and how it affects their mindset and of those around them but I can't type down all my feelings because that would be a super long post.

I like hearing the perspective on Meenu too because I have never before tried to see the story from an antagonists' POV before. Actually, not Just the antagonist but also from the POV of so many different characters either. It's interesting!

Honestly, Ritvik looks good in everything he wears. His upcoming Kurta looks interesting too ( I am you assuming are talking about the green floral Kuta right? ) Once, I saw a pic of him wearing a hot pink jacket and he pulled that off too. 😃

But he looks out of this world in three-piece suits. Writers, please send Kunal to the office- RIGHT NOW !! 😂

I think even Kaveri can pull off everything so well. She looked good even in some of the really hideous clothes that she was given. I don't know how Kuhu's look is going to be now, but hopefully they bring back her quirky sarees. I loved them so much.

No, you're not the only one but I think the makers kind of did it in a way when KuKu burnt the divorce papers.

Also, I think Kunal is in his early 20s but he is still too naive (I can say that because I am in my early 20s too) and I like that about him🙈😍😍
