I felt the same ... Right from the start only Rohan was disgusting. Naren still felt right in his own way ... I am not sure when exactly I stopped watching ...either Sona bringing Rani .... or when she quit her job ... but the last nail on the coffin to stop watching was when each and every member of Sippy had comprehension disability and was butchered .... I expected Ajit, chacha, badi maa, Veena, Tanya, Deepa, Pooja, Nishi to have some substance !

Also, there was no intelligent story telling to even redeem these people as if there was a serious misunderstanding ... I did catch up with the epi after the short leap ... and alas all that changed was the hair cut and costume :( They actually didn't require a leap for this.

KHKT’s uniqueness was only about the FL being a TV actress. I don’t remember any show having a TV actress as FL. Apart from that, I don’t see what is so different in this show.
Most of the people here began watching only because of the scenes where Rohit lambasts the illogical content that TV shows. Sandiip pulled in online fans with such scenes but the rest of the show is still the usual TV content.
The BG and the light hearted scenes in the beginning is what drew me to this show. I really enjoyed the bonding between the Sippy family members.
But the honeymoon period didn’t last long. It all started with the wardrobe malfunction track. There was so much drama, more than what Incould bear. And then there was some inconsistencies in Rohit’s actions. I simply didn’t like that way he treated Sona that day.

Really I also started watching the show seeing those few clips only! When my sister made me watch the Parvati's operation scene & the trolls Rohit did seeing KPK hold the interest.

I think it had been better if they had launched it as a finite show but SP doesn't even stick to it if they manage good TRP like YJHJK. Only SP knows what it wants saying Nayi Soch but delivering Kachra if anyone also want to give SP interferes.

He is extremely upset !!! Thankyou so much Star Plus for snatching KHKT. ITV just dont deserve any show with good content. You better be busy with your Dayaan, Chudail, Jinn, Bhoot, Komolika and Rishta !!!

Sad to know ...now I know why the show is so disgusting ...seems producer himself is helpless ...that is really bad ...death of creativity and feel that he also thinks like us that show is ruined but can’t do anything as few tracks helped them increase trp ....

But also confused and worried ....confused as when so many of us have issue with these tracks and are criticising character assassination aswell as the storyline how is the same storyline helping them increase trps ...which audience loves this disgusting negativity ...kidnapping ...mentally sick ppl...bad ppl...no self respect tracks ...divorce tracks ...not so happy tracks ....I always thought max public gates such tracks ....so very surprised

Worried because this is what max ppl love and this is what increases trps then it is a case of concern ....as it shows the kind of ppl we have around us ...how ppl love negativity instead of appreciating positivity ....and also worried as we might never get to see good content on television...I hardly watch serials...unfortunately whenever I start to watch something like this is seen at later stage ....show is ruined after a month or so ....

The sad truth is that we fail to read ourselves . People dont "love" negativity , they want to see positive winning over negative and how so that's why negativity is introduced in the story . Good content can never be found on daily soaps , they can only be found in books, movies and limited epis series or a comedy show like friends which is episodic. The best writer cannot write a "good" story which can run for 10 years. 5 years ? 2 years ? Without getting ruined. The thing is, if the channel or the producer wants instant trps , and starts ruining his story , it's his wish and his needs. Everyone wants money. Creativity gai tel lene.

That’s why I said the other day ITV needs to bring finite shows only. Writers can’t maintain quality content for a long time. The story gets ruined in one way or another. I was searching up Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese and Thai dramas the other day and was pleasantly surprised how short they are. The average show lasts for just 2-4 months then they launch a new show unlike Indian tv where shows keep running for 4-6 years taking leaps after leaps and butchering the characters for TRP.

This entire interview was filled with sarcasm. He's trying to be positive and understanding, but he sounds so beyond pissed off at this trp game and how good content is being rejected in trp game.

Yes. There was balika vadhu also which ran for years and the content was good..and trps also. But didnt it have a nagging regressive saas? Torture on women , so much negativity around ..ott drama..with every serial therr will be some problem or the other. But the fact , majorly, a daily soap cant maintain a consistent storyline without butchering the characters.

In the past there have been some excellent shows , some worked some didnt but that doesnt mean the audience loves to watch negativity and we dismiss the whole population as regressive. That's a wrong way to look at it. It's easy to say take off yrkkh or anything like that..its getting high trps n they r making money ,why would they ? N I am the audience of that show from the last 10 yrs , on and off , I can say it's better than most of the shows on air ..if we fight over what is better , it's useless..khkt got good trps from first week itself ,there must be a reason..it hardly went above 2 except for a few weeks, there must be a reason..may be he can figure it out instead of saying regular crap works..tarak Mehta doesnt show regular crap howcome that one is at the top consistently? Shows other than saas bahu r also in top 10..may be he can introspect. The 3 or 4 weeks when sona was being tortured , the trps were consistently low. Only after the leap when there is some positivity its increasing .

In long running shows, they have an excellent run for a year or two after which the audience r hooked n thy watch anything then..its not just the negativity , a lot of factors contribute to the success of a show , to take it to this level.

Same here...at times I keep checking yrkkhon insta just to check current tracks or just because to check why exactly it works and is liked..

And surprisingly it's the kind of show that doesn't have this extreme negativity, constant plotting and planning by someone. (Even in that vedika track, although was so much of rona dhona) There's always this lighter element to it which actually makes it look so bore and banal😆 there isn't much happening that u need to watch regularly to get a gist. You can actually skip for an entire month and there's nothing to miss. Yet it scores on trps🤪

If I remember correctly hina khan's yrkkh was even more banal and had very much less negativity and it did even better than current one.

In fact the much hailed krpkab had more of this contrived negative elements.. For instance the mami character who's job literally in every episode was to plot, plan, brainwash ishwari.

So yeah rather than stereotyping itv audience, it would be helpful for him if he does some study and can try delivering stuff which doesn't always have to be high on drama.
